Well After evicting the older chicks to my back porch... I now have a BW house pullet. Poor little cutie has a bloody vent. The other six chicks decided to pluck her, and then munch on her vent. So she is now inside with me and the itty bitty's. And OH what a friendly little thing she is becoming already. As I type she is trying to climb my arm up to my shoulder. lol So at night she is in a confinement box to heal, and during the day she is up roaming around the house with me.

Should I give her anything more than her normal feed and water? Maby some scrambled egg or???

I can either put them under one of the silkiebators or the actual incubator.. My brooders may be full--but can probably easily fix that with making MORE! lol!!

two of my silkies are on eternal brood. sort of like eternal hold, but better, because you can at least get chicks from it.. rather than a sweaty ear.

Morning folks!

Jen, I have 13 of Salina's Serama eggs cooking. Her Little Big Man Larry is quite stunning!

I was wanting to ask you if you knew who the mommy and daddy are on the eggs I got from you awhile ago? Our two chicks that hatched looked black to start, but now have some different coloration coming in on their chests.

They would have been from Romeo's pen (blk/wht mottle-he is with his daughters (blk/wht with some brown) and CeeCee, a blk tail buff silkie... The main yard--which had Voltron (tricolor) with Cleo (tri), Juliette and Rosalee (black and blue lace).. and Sir who is a blk/wht mottle roo.. I marked the eggs with each roosters initial (except the main yard, because there were two roo's in there) Most likely you will get some tri coloration going on. the blk/wht/browns. That is what I have been seeing mostly. Although I DID get a WHITE!!! eeee!

She did get to meet Rosalee and Juliette. Some laughs at where I was searching for eggs lol. hay pile, shipping box, bag of shavings. I cant wait to see them either!! Larry coming from Debs stuff, he is sure pretty, still bald but pretty lol

i am really tired and trying to sleep in biology class sounds like a good thing.... but i think i would have weird dreams....

already had a few creepy ones last night because of the stupid lecture....

It's actually a black bantam cochin roo, so not all that big. We don't have that roo anymore, I should probably change it!

I just looked at your website to see them all again........so pretty! Can't wait to see how these guys feather out!
