Hey glad you cleared that up!

I understand about the turkeys, and your right I will have three grown turkeys by the time you came around, and I had a feeling Muscovy's weren't really ducks, ( I'm just learning about them myself) I used to have a call duck, Rouen and black wood duck, but, I found a home for them so I could get my muscovy's. We have tons of skito's here and I have horses and I heard they are AWESOME bug patrol! And I would never even THINK let my flock loose on a friend from BYC!!

Anyway, just glad your here, you guys are great to watch on here!

Just read that the city of Kirkland allows 5 pairs of chickens.

Who in their right frame of mind would do 5 pairs of chickens in a Kirkland city lot?

They should just say 10 birds. Redmond has 10 birds, but I'm unincorporated. 20? to add variety to the country scene?? They can roam with the horses & nobody will notice.n

Did you see the pictures I posted a few pages back of the BLRWs I got from you? I'm going to have to figure out a new place to put their water bottle; they're too tall to duck under the roost and drink comfortably right now!

(I need a headdesk icon for when I phit post before I write anything

LOL It would be a bit difficult to quit my day job! It is taking care of my hubby and 4 kids, the meeting today was for him and moving his office, he wanted me there to negotiate..
gig.gif
he knows after being with me for nearly 15 years that it is one of my strengths! He brought me to the first meeting and at the end of it we had cut the cost of our lease in half and had raised all sorts of free bonus benefits, now he wont even speak to these guys without me there. (I used to be in sales and do contracts and negotiations) Sometimes it is inconvenient, but it is nice to help out and feel needed again also. Anyways, I was wrong in the few hours I was gone you only managed 5 new pages of posts!!! Someone is slacking out there!

How many chickens can you keep in Portland??

Same as Seattle! As many as you want until you get caught

The argument might be made that they are being a little spoiled.

What with the peanuts, and the slugs, and the red worms, and moving the chicken tractor twice a day...

I've got at least one elder cousin, and her daughter, and several of Mom's cousins on the dry side; my Aunt is buried in the Gleed Cemetary (as is, strangely enough, Willie Nelson's mother). Mom's cousins and their offspring are scattered all over Eastern Washington, but I don't know many of them. Hard enough to keep up with my this-side-of-the-mountain relatives: Mom was the eighth of twelve kids, Dad the eldest of six, and I have cousins the way other people have casual acquaintences. Add that to my maternal grandmother's four brothers and three sisters, and her husband's three sisters and two brothers, and chicken math looks simple.

(All I have to do to make it stop raining is come in, take off my work coat, clean my hands, and sit down. I think I'm wearing gloves next go-around).

No kidding! Yea I heard Willie Nelson had relatives here, heard that when I was a kid! forgot tho! Wow , you have lots of family around!!I Only have a few to contend with here myself! We moved here in 78 when I was a kid, (from Mi) so that's where my relatives live(which from what I've heard it's a good thing I live here!)
ep.gif

It's only my sister and I here, ok well my BF and my sister's kids, my children live in Wyoming so I'm an empty nester so to speak besides my chicken family!
