Started to get the trailer ready and found that the water valve on the toidy is broke. With out that we can't even turn the pump on so off to town to spend $35 of my last $37. Sure hope I sell some stuff to get us back home.
Checked the weather and of course it is going to be nasty in Stevenson. But hey at least it will be sunny at home.

I will probably be going nuts before very long tomorrow. What wiff just me annd DW and nothing to do. Won't want to go to bed too early or I will be up at like midnight instead of 4 or 5.
Looking at how the floor space of my truck is pretty much covered (6x8). I am thinking there may not be much room in the 8x8 booth.

I'm Game! We love going to Lake Kachess .... it is very near Lake Easton, only nicer. I used to always grab lake-side spots, but last time I went, and it was almost full. I found a double spot on the loop the RV's usually go to. It is a bit further from the lake (still an easy walk), and best of all, less mosquitos! Really nice big spot with woods all around and bathroom nearby (flush but no showers.... we go home for those as I am 35 miles away ... and I could still take care of my chickens!) The campground is great... fairly quiet (especially compared to Lake Wenatchee), lots of hiking, nice lake for boats of all sizes, good swim area, flat for bicycles... No camp store though.

Hey that would be great!! I haven't camped here in a long time! Been out of state for a few years. We used to go Fish lake up near Wenatchee (sp) they have a nice lake and boat rentals if you need one ( we don't have one yet) I love to fish! With our new camper (new to us) we'd all be cooking up a storm!! yee hawwww! Great idea!

Lake Kachess has a couple of wonerful, large groupsites that are in a great location and quite private, off their own long drive a bit removed from everyone else. If we can all organize and decide on some dates, I'd be happy to make reservations and put the deposit down.

In the weekend I will have some time and I'll see if I can find some phtots of this place, it is very nice. The campground is right where lake Kachess and Little Lake Kachess combine, with a motorboat launch and a sandy beach on the Big Kachess side, and a non-mototboat, great swimming, playing fishing area at the other side of the campground on Little Kachess; walking distance to both.

when I was a kid my parents rented a cabin at Bakers landing every summer. loved going up there every weekend!!

We need to find somewhere to take the horses! I have two that need riding bad! Older guys but, nice riding horses! I promised them both they were going to get rode more this year! I have 5 acres but, just jumping on and riding here is dangerous! we have a country road that people love to speed on and no way to get off it, so if I go riding I pretty much have to trailer!

Seems to me that I saw horses at the group site when I last camped in the area a few years ago. I will call next week to make sure. They put in new composting toilets at the group site in 2007. I saw some websites still show old info.

oooo I stay AWAYYYY from Impressive! I know all about the bad press he got and the issues and their are people that still buy his lines, but, sorry I'm for big body's big feet! I can't stand to look at a big Quarter with small feet! That's why i gravitate towards the older lines, not as many navicular and tying up issues. Yea, can't say that many qh have a smooth trot! lol! I just never could afford to do the show thing, rodeo'd as a teenage, was the princess of the Cayuse Rodeo association 80-81! Rodeo'd in that circuit for a few years! it was fun for sure!

The family that used to own Black Hills Quarterhorses were friends of ours; they stood a big dark brown stud called Bootlegger who was your kind of horse, I think: 15h3" and built like a tank.

LOVE IT!!

Ok guys,.. I probably won't be on before I leave but I'm donating a pair of really nice saxonies to the PNPA breeders auction. Raised around 12 or 13, these will be the best.

Also, I will be bringing white pullets and hens and a couple really nice showgirl cockerels (the cockerels are SQ, hens are everything from BQ to SQ) to sell. Also will be bringing some decent black cocks, a split lav young cock, a blue pullet with huge crest, etc. Will also have some nice chicks if I can fit them in the car.

See you there!
Jen
