Okay all you chicken wizards: Another chick question. I know there are those of you out there that know how to tell (roughly) the gender of a chick when it is only days old...Can you tell me how? Give me the basics. One batch are nearly 2 weeks old, the other not quite 1 week old.


BTW: It is very difficult to type when the cat keeps walking back and forth across my lap....running his tail under my nose. Oh, now we have stopped to give me that "I wove you mom" blink/look.

Chicken wizards: One of the BCM is shaking her head. Like those at the show were doing? What is this? I just dusted for mites a few weeks ago. As soon as it warms up I was going to do a dip. Could it be mites again. I checked her vent, real quick, and did not notice any bugs. Could this be something else?

I will go and do some ILT research. She has no sneezing, wheezing, snot, etc. Actually after I picked her up and "roughed her up" (meaning I picked her up and checked her vent and felt her head and listened to her breathing and checked her over) she has been looking jst fine. She was just out there eating and drinking. I think I am paranoid. Overly cautious.

Also, you were the one selling the vaccines for chickens? I need to talk to you. I am hatching out some chicks and would like to vaccinate so I know that everyone is healthy. Please PM me if you could with information.

I did a quick check on ILT and she has none of those symptoms. She is just shaking her head.

They have put the Loony Toons back on the air here. My 4 year old keeps saying 'What's up doc' and 'I taut I Taw a Putty Tat'.
