I think that all newbies should be warned about chiccken math and the powers of enabling this thread/people havee...my theory is that chickens don't take much room and I can eat them if i need to. So I can have more.

4312, Hope you get over your shakes soon. That's not a pleasant feeling. So not only are all of you enablers and proponents of chicken math, but once infected apparently one becomes a carrier of that condition as well. My gf who attended the show with me this weekend and is not even a part of the thread (yet) has already increased her city flock of 6 hens just by being with me. She met a gentlemen at the hotel breakfast yesterday who offered her his "loser" Cayuga ducks for a very reasonable price so she brought home 2. And after seeing all the pretty egg colors and eye candy at the show has decided she needs 4 more chickens! I swear I didn't work at all to influence her. She was just with me, watching and listening and the next thing I know she was doubling her poultry flock. It's osmosis. Crazy.

I had to slice 2 toes that were fused. It was turning my stomach at first but was no big deal in the end. Won't bother me to do it in the future but hopefully won't ever have to do it again. Now I just need to learn how to capon! I think I could do it!
