Did anyone help you here? Room temp-- cooler room temp, like 60. Let the eggs rest for 24 hours before setting. If you candle them you will see the air sac may have become detached. Letting them sit for 24 hours allows that to hopefully reattach. Good luck!

Congrats on the Stevenson wins. I wasn't able to attend but it sounds like i missed out on a lot of fun. Hopefully some better weather will show up soon. My california blood doesn't like this.

Im near Yakima and Raising Delawares and rhode island reds. Just started building my own incubator. it will be approxamately 18x18x 50 inches. should be able to hatch 200 chicks at a time. It will be fairly high tech. already got my 200 watt elements and all metal 120 mm fans. Also have recieved probe style temperature control for the heat and fans. I have even gotten the electronic hydrometer for moisture readings, digital of course. Im thinking Ill use hardwood birch plywood or oak plywood with a center layer of tybek pink insulation that has the foil layers on the outside. I will post pictures. Ilso just started building the new chiken house. chicken house is barnstyle and 10x12x8 walls. got low-e windows for the two sides. Ill post photo's soon.

Yesterday was a very productive day! Moved the rest of the chicks outside, did alot of spring cleaning in the house, found a bunch of hidden eggs under my deck, and got 90% of the coop done!

I now have 4 walls a roof, an unhinged door, and a 7'6" roost! Will be going out to buy hardware cloth and hinges today, then I need to figure out these stupid exterior nesting boxes... This part seems to be the hardest art of the entire coop build!
