I just love spring.

The sun shining, the birds chirping, the green grass growing. Everything is so fresh and new...........................

Oh good grief!

Some spring huh? My car was frozen shut at 6 this morning... had to give my door a good solid hip bump to break it open... I am so very sick of the cold.

I want a REAL spring! Not this spring like for a day, and fall weather for 2-3 more...

I am Super impressed! You are very clever and handy! (this from someone who struggled with a little Phillips screwdriver this morning)

Thanks! I put a matching box on the other side today just so things are symmetrical(I attribute that to my OCD)

Have the sheet insulation and hope to be done with everything but the siding tomorrow.
Then we are going to test the ground again to see if we can carve out a spot for the big 'crate coops'. I won't hold my breath!

COOL!!!!

You are a right on handy woman !!!!!!!!! Very clever !!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure you put OSB or plywood over the sheet insulation...on the inside, so's the chookies don't eat it like pop corn!!

That would be me; I have cow stories of all sorts.

Not pig stories, for the most part, and the ony hot wire story I've already told, about biting the bitey wire first when I was a toddler. Now that there are solar chargers I'll probably get some electric fence to keep the wether where I want it; I've never been able to have it here because there was no place to put a charger that didn't block humans and cars better than livestock.

X2 Only time my hogs got out was when we had to leave town and DD was SUPPOSED to take care of them. Last thing I told her as we were driving out "make sure to feed and water the pigs or they will get out". Well the pigs got out and my first question did ya feed em??? Auhm I forgot!!! Form my experience if ya give em food water and shelter they have no reason to want to leave.

We had an automatic waterer and automatic free feeder for them. They were in a "corral" that was kind of like "panels" and then a hot wire run around it. We always loved to go and watch the piglets hit the hot wire for the first day. HILARIOUS. I guess this is kind of like "hillbilly" humor.

yes it is hillbilly humor, kind of like the rubber snake on fishing line pulled through the chicken yard ?
Chickens attack it !!!
lol.png

They tug of war & fight over it.
My kids are grown so the rubber snake is nailed to the wall now, still here to make me laugh whenever I see it there...
Also loved to toss spaghetti to the hens the day after we had some...the resulting war over the long worms was hysterical!!!!!!!!

Pears? Really nice, in any case.

I love Chelan, but only get there in the summer, and not every summer; friends have a family place on the south shore which dates back to before AC came to Entiat- the lot, there was a revolution and the old cabin got replaced with a log castle.

WOW where the heck was the night shift??
I caught up in only 10 minutes??
No Blue Ducklings ???
No Justbugged ??
Seems even Chicken Rustler & Broodytood went to bed early ?
Well, I am fine tuning the road trip list, we so far have 3 meets for chicks tomorrow on our run to Monroe, so anyone needing/or sending, PM me....have cuckoo marans, blue ameraucanas on sale now.
Also a nice wheaten Ameraucana cockeral...beautiful birdie.
OK I am off to get some work done, hopefully it will be nice some time today, no snow here !!!
Cold fog though..and ice on somethings..
I really am starting to believe we will have no summer, this is it, right into winter.
