my chickens totally agree with you

I don't know about "mad as a wet hen", but they were NOT HAPPY with all the rainshowers and the breezes that blew their feathers all backwards

spent much of the day huddled together on the coop perch, muttering to each other .. it's 41 inches long and exactly the right size to take seven chickens side by side

Poor chick chicks!!! This morning the sun is shining again and everything is fresh and new, till probably 2pm like yesterday and then who knows what will happen?? This is the weirdest weather I have ever seen here....and no I don't believe in the 2012 prediction !!

Wow I didn't know selling a horse was so much work??? I cleaned my brooder house and let the chicks out for the 1st time yesterday before all H**& broke lose. Have the other pen with the meaties to do today! I brought my friend over to see my new menagerie and I told her look out, these things are pigs with feathers!! lol!! It's true!!! I really didn't know chickens could be so aggressive at feed time!! I just feel sorry for them really, they can't get around well, that's why I'm going to develop my own meat bird I think. Hey that might be a good topic? What crosses would make a good meat bird, one that puts on decent weight but can walk!!! lol! I would be interested in finding out what others think since they have many more breeds than I do. BTW I've only had one guess on my chicks?? I guess no one wanted to play!!!

That is a wonderful birthday gift for your daughter! I'm guessing she'll get to name that chick for sure. Any other pips yet or is that one an early bird? I'm going to go improvise a dance in front of my gator right now. I'm starting to worry.

ETA: that would be bator, not gator. I don't have the latter.

I am sure this baby is just early...but there are 3 other pips. Can't wait to see what morning brings. As for now....I am off to bed. I'm tired.

OMG!! That is soooo coool!! I love it!! With the way my incubator has fluctuated I don't know what to think?? My house is weird and I just can't seem to find a suitable place!! I guess all I can do is cross my fingers !!

Normally selling a horse isnt that hard to do. But this time is the exception. My client is VERY high mantenance, and so is my Step father...

Ive been doing everything for both of them. Setting up the vet check, 3-4 sessions with my trainer, plus taking my Step father out to ride on an almost daily basis. Then theres the fact that my step Father has NO tack, so Im searching for that for him as well, and getting my place ready for a 4th horse. Plus all the chicken activities around here. It all adds up and makes me one tired lady. Most of all selling this horse is mentally draining, as I dont get a break. When my step father quits asking me to do things, then my client emails or calls and the cycle starts all over again. Red "the horse" was having urination issues on Sunday. So we are having that checked out, even though I feel it was only because he had the rear latigo to far back on his groin, and probably made it uncomfortable for poor red to pee. He's been fine since sunday.

It really boils down to the buyer and seller both being high mantenance, as this horse really could sell himself. 11 years old 1300 pounds 16.2hh, gorgeous red roan, 3 months of training with clinton anderson, works cattle, awsome trail horse, packs, leads, highlines, ties, ect... Just a great all around horse, just NOT a show horse as he has the UGLIEST front legs, and is pigeon toed. But none the less a great horse that should be a very easy sale.
