My DH is afraid for me to ask but where is that? I just adore clematis! Can't have to many of them. Last year I added a cedar arbor to the top of my fence in hopes that someday it will be covered. 2 Montana's would probably do it in a season. Polish Pride is gorgeous... almost luminescent!

Joy Creek does mail order.

They're primarily mail order, in fact, but where's the fun in that?

I haven't been to Oregon since November 2009, which is nonsense. I need to get out of Dodge- or Lacey, same thing.

Broody I don't think you live near the same Chehalis as I do. My temp got down to 28 last night. Gabby chose a perfect song to start the day didn't she !!! Now if we could get a few weeks like today !

Bright pink sunset, and chillier than I want; all the fruit trees are in bloom, and I'm afraid there'll be no fruit.

The clematis I was thinking of is Nelly Moser but now I fear that it's not as early as I misremembered and still can't find my Clematis book.

Here's the latest on Michelle. She went to Seattle today for follow up. All is good and she got the 48 staples out of her hip. She may be able to come home friday or monday so I guess Robert (her step dad) and I better get busy to get the ramp built. Sounds like Robert has it all designed (he is the carpenter of the 2 of us) I will just be the labor. I hate working with wood it is just S T U PID None of it is the dimensions it says how S T U PID! If you get a piece of steel that says 2x4 it is 2x4 not some S T U PID size smaller.
Ooops there goes my alarm time to go put the stables to bed, close gates and lock up Michelle / Robert's chickens. BRB

Good news about Michelle CR!
OK all you experts.... Is it normal for a bantam to be trying to crow at 2 mths? I though one of the boys was getting picked on so I snuck up and watched. It's one of the Leghorns. I saw and heard the most pitiful sounding crow ever!!!

I guess I thought it would be around 4 mths. Do they mature sooner because they are bantam?

If you think wood is bad, don't even think about trying fabric. It's not even rigid.

Oh I can deal with fabric. Cause at least if ya go and get a yard of fabric ya know it is 36"x36" not some S T U PID size smaller. And with fabric if ya cut it too small ya can just sew it up and start over. Just like steel weld it up and start over. But wood OOOh NO just turn it into fire starter and buy new wood.
Did I ever tell ya I hate working with wood ??

The 35* was what weather.com said we were going get. Maybe it got colder. One other time you were colder than we were here so maybe you are in a cold pocket.
