Ya know I just had the vet out got everyone their vaccines, she didn't say anything but, my sister came out yesterday ( she works with bovine vet, her boss is my vets husband) and she asked me if I had heard of the outbreak?? I said no?? she didn't say it was in this state just said it's coming up from UT??? Ok, this is bad!!

I would sudgest taking a deep breath. Calm down, right now it is being managed by biosecurity around here. Keep your ponies at home, and do your best to keep others horses away. Just like with chickens, biosecurity will go a long way if used properly.

Dont freak out, it will be ok if managed properly.

Unlike poultry, you don't have to worry about the wild horses bringing something in.

One of my horses got strangles back in the 70s, and had to have the lump lanced at her throat, and irrigate it daily and let it drain with bandgaes to keep flies off as flies can spread it horse to horse.
I do not think it is spread any other way but by direct contact ?

It all worked out fine and no other horses there got it ...just mine

Hi guys!!
GOOD morning, Cheryl good to see you, was wondering where ya were.

Gardening ?
Hi Blue Ducklings too!!!
frow.gif

I turned on my computer this morning EARLY and it went blue screen & the tower started buzzing, then a big 1" wide bar code flashed on the bottom & then it all stopped & went to the sign in page.
So weird..sounded like a smoke detector in the next room.........
I talked to son & he said that is a blue screen error, not a trojan.
This is the second time it has done that, the last time it failed to start at all.

Then it was in the nerd shop for 3 days while the guy worked to get it to open.
He said then, that it was a blue screen error & was just 'old' !!!!!!!
This Dell XP was bought in 2004.
Think it is "too" old ?
hu.gif

I have 73% free space on the disk, it is nice & fast and works great but for the start up problems
hu.gif

I dunno, I am old........

I DO know I GOTTA work on the new coop today, clean out MOT's coop, and put my Buckeyes in there.
The Bucks are in with the "for sale" started birds, and everyone wants to buy them, and the mottled Ameraucana..the one with TUFTS!!!
OK, out to work & look at the net........I will be back, and hopefully this puter will start again!!!

I think the duck herd is gonna be expiled to the great outdoors today too...the BOOGERS are messy!!!!!!
Te bedding WET and they need to GO!!!!!!!!!
tongue.gif

No more ducks!
They are so cute and lots of fun but not working out in a wooden chicken-type brooder pen..

Later kids!

If it continues, I gonna go buy an Apple!!!!!!!!!

The only thing that kinda worries me, is directly across the street at the Smythe Cedar mill, they are also a hard core rodeo family. They JUST got back from out of state right before we all got the notice. What I'm wondering is, if we are close enough together, that something could be carried over from there place to mine. I wouldnt think so, as we dont intermingle our horses together, but there is always that anoying "if."

I'm also concerned about what the shoer might bring in. I have one coming today and wondering what preventive measures he is taking.
