So......we drove to South Bend, and there was the 20 foot long box!!!
We got the Ryobi sawsall out & DH quickly cut the box in half.
Then he & I loaded the first 10 foot section, and then we got the next 10 foot section in the appropriate position, turned it upside own & seated within the first section, stapped it down, I hung a red flag on the protruding 4 feet, and off we went.
Got home, cut 2 ends, screwed them on, while I loaded 1 year old compost in the empty trailer, hauled it up to the garden boxes & unloaded into them.
Then got the tomatoes & summer squash starts out of the hot beds, and planted them.
Then put the cut fence wire on top, it is nice & round...and covered & stapled down with plastic.
Row covered....
Then DH went to town & got 4 bags of sand and 24 red 12" concrete pavers, and we made a porch here on our wee barn......and I am One tired turkey...hands are raw, chicken on the barbie, and I went to check my Java hen who ha had a 3" slice right behind her rib cage from MrJava..and after 1 week of triple antibiotic oinment, the chicken skin was finally pliable enough to suture.
It was previously too dried and withdrawn to strecth and be able to suture....I have been globbing ointment on her for a week.
Should have had a saddle on her in the first palce but after the fact...
So I dug the dirts out, debridded, and irrigated with betadine, and with assistance from my sweet DH....I sutured the 4" gash in the java hen.
All is well in the world now............and I am one tired woman.............thanks I remembered how to suture, and had a ready first aide kit!
