Have a good time. Just don't get a buyer's number the first time. That way you will know haw tempting the auction is. I always say that the first time for anything is educational. Have fun.

You have my sympathies. I had my Jackie dog, that I thought was chicken proof, try killing one of my Light Sussex chicks 2 days ago. I caught him, but the chick has a badly injured leg now. I don't know if it is better to have the dog kill the chick or just injure it. Uf Da!!!

I am glad that it didn't get you and the DW. I would have come to dig you out if it had though. Eenie's little sister and I were talking about tornadoes earlier today. So it must be our fault. e

I ant some goats, but I know that they would think that the Hydrangeas would fine eating. That would crank my chain. I miss having llamas and goats.

There are times I shouldn't TALK with my mouth open, or so the DH says...

I grew up in Florida, so Skin So Soft was our no-see-um and skeeter repellent. Kept a damp washcloth with SSS in a baggie for camping so we could just wipe it on. Works okay, but several of the locals swear by Listerine in a spray bottle...

Okay. I had to use blu kote for the first time today. My crew is about 8 1/2 wks, 14 gals and a Polish roo. And HE's the only one with a pecked head?!
Not an easy task to do by myself, since the Polish are not the most CALM of the batch...

So I have two questions for the pros:

1. Only the Roo? I would think he'd be the last to get picked on. He's a little gangsta and rules the yard, but after dark

??

2. How do you get blu kote off your hands? Oh, and the door. Aaaand, now the keyboard...
Buuuut mostly, the hands...

My oldest Pom is diabetic. We have been dealing with this for a year. She is doing rather well for being such an old lady. It is doable. And also, I have learned, that there is a bit of fudging room.....She gets fed twice a day and gets her shot....but It is not like clock-work. We keep it all within an hour or so of a set time, and she is doing really well. My dog is on 5 units of Humulin N twice a day. I get the medicine from Wal*Mart...it was $25 a bottle, but I think it may have just gone up.

Oh thank you for telling me this, Ive been down to the second with feeding and shots. Im really glad to know it can be done. Found out today that the eye sugery is'nt 1000. try 44200.00 so thats a big no. I was reaching with the other amount with hubby.

Holy cow....$44,200...this is insane. Is this for cataract surgery? this is crazy. No, my vet told me there was "fudge" room, I also was doing it to the dot. I was so glad when she told me I had some flexibility.

Do you have any snow up there? I have chicken and yard projects I want to do, but the DH has taken the trailer up to the Loup Loup ski hill as there is an archery shoot up there this weekend and he wants me to come up after work. But, it snowed up there 2 days ago. It is raining and cold. Not so sure I want to go, but I will to make him happy. I will sleep up there, stay for a while and then come up with an excuse to come home and get some projects done...then I can go back up. That sounds like a good compromise doesn't it?

Hey, do you know anyone who would like to buy some pullets or a cockerel? I have some generics for sale. Some 8 week old crosses, some 3 week old orpingtons.
