Wow, so there is now no limit on how many chickens you can have in Tacoma. I sure hope that people don't start over doing it and we end up losing the right to have them at all. I see it all the time with cats and dogs.

I know--I told DH yesterday that it was about time to invest in another "window shaker" A/C unit for our livingroom.

So it gets hot enough to need A/C?

East of the Mountains? Pretty much all of summer and into early fall, although up in Okanogan and Omak where RFF and 4312 live fall comes earlier; West of the Mountains it may get hot enough for AC a week or two every summer, if you can't close your blinds before the sun hits the windows. It was over 100 degrees on the wetside five days in a row in... 2009? 2008? and that was *half* the triple digit weather for my whole life. And last summer it only got over 90 once. On the wetside.

East of the Mountains there's places that are true deserts.

Oh, heavens....Yes. Of course, we don't have the humidity. And if you are used to hot weather...you may not need A/C. Strategically opening and closing windows at the proper times, and good curtains helps lots. But today was in the 80s. Very warm.

I gave up today and turned on A/C it was 80 in the house, an over cast day and closeing curtains did not help. Plus the last few days it has been very warm also. It's almost 9 PM and its still 70 outside. monster day trying to garden, weed and finish the coop. making hay while the sun shines and it really shone too hot too quick for us.

Fused - there is a webbing between that pulls the longer toes down. I saw the same on some other BCM's when I was searching the BCM thread. Some people separate, some let them frow like that. I think I will separate, but I don't know when to do it. I guess it is a bloody process, so I would like the shick to get a bit stronger first.

Do it as soon as you can... earlier better...
get a quick stop powder to stop bleeding and a small pair of sharp scissors/snips
snip the webbing and use powder to stop bleeding
make sure bedding stays clean until healed.

least that is what I would do.

Thanks! I will try tomorrow. It is weeker than the other 3, or maybe it just seems that way since it has trouble moving. I am debating to wait until it is stronger or do it quickly before it does permanent damage to the bent toes.

If it wasn't for gardening I could do without summer, that may change if I did not have to deal with the humidity.
