She scared me half to death! I think it will be a few days before she is allowed to walk across the easment... Think I will cary her for a while. Ive been working with her on stopping and looking both ways, but sometimes, she just looses her head and takes off. But alas, she is 2 1/2 and is apt to do things like that. I really wish I could find a harness and extended leash for her locally. I wouldnt care if I got goofy looks, it would be for her own protection, and my sanity...

they make monkey backpacks that the tail is the "leash" looks cute on the child, too

No matter what you do, someone will think it's wrong, so go with what you feel you have to.

She's just so independant, willful, and stubborn... Just like her momma. I din't dare let her walk through the store, she runs off! Made that mistake once in Sears! She disapeared into a coat rack, and came out about 30' away.

Im usually borderline panic attack when I take her out, because she is everywhere! I dont do to well in crouded situations as is, and she tends to make it worse out in public. So yeah... I gotta do something!

I had a bit of a fun (and maybe kind of selfish) day today. See I got to go to town alone. As I was almost to Staples I saw a car ahead of me hit the binders. I thought what the heck?? Then as I got closer I could see the problem. There was a momma duck and a whole herd of goslings crossing the road.
I got to go spend a little time hanging out with my buddies at the VW shop and while there I poached a little bamboo. Well ok so maybe it was more than just a little I cut all there was. Now for my funky idea. I don't know anything about bamboo but I took many of the canes and stuck them in the ground around the LF coop with the hopes they will take and provide shade. This is all black bamboo and all 16' + several were over 20'. And the nI got to play with the bees too. It was time to add a honey super to one hive. That means they will now be making honey for me. And I had to add a second deep hive box to the other hive which menas in a few weeks they may be making honey for me too.

My younger son liked to disappear into clothing racks. It's not a leash, it's a safety harness.

I don't think bamboo works that way. I think you need to start with culms, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

And why shouldn't you have a day to yourself once in a while?
