I just bought my first 10 lbs of Food Grade DE, but I have a conspiracy theory about it. My plan is to use it around the coop and the run to help keep the flies and bugs down, but I keep reading of all these people using it as a cure all for everything. My guess is that when I finally get curious enough to eat it myself all of you BYC'ers are going to jump out from around a corner and tell me they can't believe I fell for it. Am I right? Anyone brave enough to admit it?

I don't think I'd eat it but I was wondering if it would make a good mud mask, or if it would get into your pores instead of clearing them.

I can't believe all this rain we are getting

If it is a cure for everything, maybe we can find a way to make it stop the rain.

I can't believe none of ya called me on this. I did it just to see what would happen. Well maybe I have rambled on here so much that nobody really pays much attention.

I really hope I am the only one that is enjoying the severe effects of (hayfever type) allergies. Not that I enjoy it but hope nobody else is going through this. My nose is nearly constantly dripping and then there are the sneazes that take me off my feet and leave me eggshausted by the end of day. I haven't had it this bad since I stopped getting shots 12 years ago.

Haven't used it myself but just to add to more of the "all these people using it as a cure all". My groomers email group was just talking about it, there were 3 people on there that use it & suggested it to a lady that was having shoulder problems, possible surgery coming up. She was going to try it.

Well if the bamboo won't take off like that you will still have some sort of shade, from the canes. Maybe plant honeysuckle on it, the bees would like it too, but I haven't checked to see if it is chicken safe or not.
Glad you had fun we all need an escape from everyday once in a while.
We have been having a very windy day about 30 MPH and just had gust must have been colse to 45. It's our coops maiden voyage for wind this strong. we can't have footings so we hope this is okay for our wind little draw.

Have you tried Zyrtec for your allergies? DS has really bad grass allergies and it helps him A LOT!!

Eat more of your honey!

Or sell some to me and I will mix it with DE and sell it as a cleansing/nourishing face mask. I just looked up DE mask and found a 4 oz DE and maple mask for $50!!!

Well I don't think I would eat but I do know people who have for extended periods of time. To me eating dirt makes about as much sense as only eating veggies. NOT gotta have some meat and gravy to go with all them spuds.
