Have you tried to close the belly button ?
I have done this 4-5 times and it has worked 50% of the time, but with new hatches..after that bacteria can get in..
Take a Q-tip, dip well in vaseline, and push in and gently twist the belly button..and remove the q-tip & hopefully the belly button stays in.
Dip another Q-tip in povodone-iodine solution & dab the button well.
Hope this helps.
Sounds like you are doing everything else that can be done, re-hydration, vitamins...

No I haven't tried that....it's pretty much flush with his tummy--it just looks funky. :\\

See I just do something like that once in a while so people can tell that there is no cookie cutter stuff going on here!!! It is all thought up in my little pea brain and drawn free hand.
Ok serious I am so embarrassed knowing that happened and I actually sold it to somebody. I will gladly make you a new one to replace it. And if anybody else got anything that is not right just let me know I will replace it.

We started getting rain about 5:30 and are back in sun now.

As for the allergies. I know what is going on see I have had them all my life. So bad that a few years ago when I had health ins. I got tested and they made my own serum. THen I had to go once a month to get a shot. I did pretty good I was only allergic to 33 of the 35 things they tested. Most were grasses and pollens but then there was cats (no prob don't like em), dog (too bad still gonna have one), horse and chickens.
And as for the honey yes local to home is supposed to help. And While I don't currently have any comb that I could eat I probably wouldn't if I had it. Not that I don't like it but it is way too valuable to be eating it. I do eat it anytime I get a chance like when we are cuting a colony out of a wall.

But don't use it for more than three days or you get a rebound effect. When I was having problems last month, the generic form of Afrin is one of the things they gave me.

I cannot take it.
I had a severe auto-immune reaction to both Afrin and the generic type.
I would do a sniff in each nostril, and witin minute or two I could breath so good!
Then the tissues would swell, twice as bad as before.
The sensitivity was so severe, my doc had to put me on prednisone for a week to get me off the Afrin.
During that time, I was up all night, ate constantly, amd ended up with a drug-induced (prednisone) reaction, AGAIN.
So many things I cannot take.

I too can't take Afrin, burned my nose so bad I wanted to rip my nose off. Hurt so bad. Dr has me on Flownase (sp), smells like flowers. Works ok. The salt water nose stuff actually worked better this last time. In April I had a sinus infection & ear infection so the dr put me on prednisone since Flownase wasn't working as well. I didn't like the moodyness it gave me, so much up & down, grumpy at a drop of hat then I also gained 6lbs in 6 days on those pills. No fun & it didn't seem to do much for my infections. This year from Jan to end of May has been horrible for me & I don't usually get sick/allergies much. It didn't help that my daughter was in kindergarden this yr so she was bringing things home left & right. She was pretty sick too. Like she was sick for 2wks, at the end of her stuff I'd get it for 2wks. As soon as I felt better then she'd get something. I broke down, gave myself a birthday present for May & hired a lady to clean my house. It helped some & I bought air filters for my room & my daughters room. Not sure if its just the weather change, pollen down, air filters or having my house deep cleaned but we do feel better. My hubby didn't catch anything we got. His allergies kicked up only when the cottonwood trees starting blowing their seeds which is recently.

So here is the litttle guy (I think a male) that had the 8 mm hole for a belly button. I did the vaseline thing that CL talked about. We even made him a pair of underwear our of a doll sock. We coated them with neosporin and they stayed on for about 1/2 a day before he wriggled out of them. After about a week he kind of took a turn for the worst cause he wouldn't eat. We made him some scrambled egg which seemed to do the trick. Since then he's growing and feisty.
He only ever had the navel problem and not the leg issue the RFF is having with hers but he did survive the belly button problem!

Hopefully someone can help out with you chick RFF.
