I cannot take it.
I had a severe auto-immune reaction to both Afrin and the generic type.
I would do a sniff in each nostril, and witin minute or two I could breath so good!
Then the tissues would swell, twice as bad as before.
The sensitivity was so severe, my doc had to put me on prednisone for a week to get me off the Afrin.
During that time, I was up all night, ate constantly, amd ended up with a drug-induced (prednisone) reaction, AGAIN.
So many things I cannot take.
Oh, yeah: I've gotten to the point where I can't take most pain meds for more than a day or two without rebound headaches: acetominiphin, ibuprofen, naproxin... ugh. And I have bursitus in both hips, among other things (mostly repeated traumatic soft-tissue injuries and multiple joint dislocations). Last night I broke down and took one of my Vicodin, and I've been pretty much brainless all day.
Modern medicine is great stuff until it bites back.
I agree, and waite until I am screaming in pain to take anything..and then it is 325 mg aspirin only...the only other painkiller I have been able to take is propoxyphe
(aka: Demerol) something you do not just TAKE when ever you get a scrape~~~~~~~~~
Goodnight all, again!!
