Yes, they can get cocci. I am not thed one to ask for treatment advice but I am very very concerned that you are giving it warm water subcutaneously. Besides getting sterile saline or other injectable, it seems more harm than good to inject tap water into the bird. You're better bet giving it electrolytes by mouth. Could you try force feeding gatorade? Or pick up sterile saline (no additive) opth soln to inject?
Best of luck
I was unable to get sterile saline, last night, but I am hoping to get some today. The baby actually is a bit better (well sort of) this morning. I have not had the best of luck trying to force feed. I always seem to drown them. I have been "sort of" but getting some electrolyte water down her, by sitting her beak in my hand and eye dropping the fluid into my hand. I know that water is not great to do this with because it is not sterile, but I had someone have me do this before with a sick kitten - years ago - when I was unable to get saline solution.
Everyone else looks fine, they all came jumping out when I opened their pen - into their little run. I am concerned on how to treat her if she does have cocci, because she is already on medicated food.
Anyone - medicated food & Corid? Seems like too much.
She was very dehydrated.
Thank you for the help/advice. All information is appreciated.
