I did, too.

Ooooo come on Ladies cut me some slack. Have I really shown to be that disrespectfull ??? I will have you know that I DO NOT engage in the reference of "my old lady" like many do. I never have, never will and don't like to hear it. For me it is always my DW, my wife or my bride! Yes I still say that!
Sorry but that is just a touchy spot for me. Might be due to as a child there was a lot of what is no called domestic violence in our home. I have a ZERO tollerence for any man laying an angry hand on a lady. This has in fact put me in the middle of others business but that is just me and I refuse to let it happen.

Wikipedia to the rescue.

They were living on a creek with a small salmon run, and their Lab ate a spawned-out dog salmon; I lost one dog to the disease when an eagle was nest-cleaning and dropped the remains on my place; Griz got sick when he dug up somebody's compost pile, but I smelled fish on his breath and took him to the vet post haste.

(I started this a half-hour ago, and then the hired help showed up and I got sidetracked).

(and then didn't proofread, oh, well)

This helped me, too. It was from CL. It has a link to a calculator as well.

Pet names don't always make sense to anyone outside the relationship. There could have been some back story about the Dragon Lady, or some such thing. I have never interpreted anything you've ever said about your wife as disrespectful. You are clearly very good to her.

What do you use as a dose and where do ya get yer honey?

There is a guy from Carnation (Misty Mountain) that sells at the farmers market here. He has hives all over the valley and some on the other side of the mountains. Alex's art teacher also has hives nearby, and someone on Mercer Island (Sweet as can Bee). I buy from all 3 and eat a tsp a day plain, but also put some in tea, toast, cookies, marinades .... our family of 4 goes through a pound or two of honey a week! I've not had perscrition allergy meds and rarely over-the-counter since purchasing raw local, at least 5 years now! Not sure why, but the honey from the art teacher tastes best.

Curved tip syringes can sometimes be gotten at Medical Supply places; I've seen them at Kirk's in Lacey.

Probably at vet's offices too.

Yup, we would use the curved tip syr to irrigate wounds and also FF pocket pets with. I'll probably just grab an uncurved syringe at work since it is handy and try to make a mush. I can feel her muscle atrophy and she is having some odd gurgling- I assume it is from the water passing through but the food not getting quite to her crop. She looks like she's going to extract what is in her esophagus. The last several days I have been massaging what I can get down but I don't think it is much. I'm not having high hopes for her. Considering removing the sutures to relieve the tourniquet I have supplied by closing her wounds, then just seeing if I can deal with such a large open wound area. Either solution does not fare well in her favor.
