Made in 1956 it is a 6' bar and I have the owners manual. It actually ran when I got it but havent tried it in a while it is too hard on the ears.

I agree -- our two half Siamese neutered orange cats take care of moles, voles, gophers, starlings, jays, and even the occasional bunny, flying squirrel, and bat (yes they have their rabies vacc taken care of ... ) though the bunnies, squirrels, and bats are delivered still very much alive

our little Korat used to sit at the tunnel mouths too, and the most amusing time was when we saw her with her teeth clenched in the tail end of a mole --- the mole was digging as fast as possible into the earth bank, and the cat was digging at about the same speed .... I miss her terribly --- she disappeared during the earthquake

our half-bobcat had a possum cornered in the angle of the deck a few years back --- the .410 took care of the possum, once we called "Rug" off ....

we have had coyotes parading down the middle of the runway at noon, deer stand at the end and sneer at us (it's technically a no-shoot zone), but seems the bobcats stay down in the wild land at river level, not 150 feet up here on the glacial till -- they probably don't want to cross the deep swift power canal at the bottom of our slope

friend of mine shot a bear eating off her apple trees, right in the middle of Lacey, few years back (yes she had a bear tag, and her 50 cal muzzleloader is easy to load and well sighted in)

Well, I spent a bunch of time making a sit-down table for the new miter saw, and got a lot more work done with it than without; I ran out of calories and battery power simultaneously, but have finished the bottom half of the door for the hoop house, and will probably be ale to finish the top half after dinner. Amazing how much less wiped out I feel not having to stand up all the time when I'm sawing, not to mention my revolutionary revolving saw table, or, for the unimaginative: sheet of plywood on top of an inverted galvanized can, screwed down tight and set in the pile of pea gravel I keep for finishing the top of potted plants/spreading down the driveway in snow and ice. It works like ball bearings, so I can swivel the table and cut at any angle without stressing my shoulder. I've got a big enough piece of plywood to use for a wire-cutting table, and something to attach it to to do it, but I need someone less fragile than the DH to help me get that together, and if I've got someone to help me they can get down on the ground and cut the wire there, so that idea is probably for a later date.

Edited to add--I'll be adding new roos to some of my breeds and therefore, will be needing to re-home several, older roosters. Older as in 2 years or so. None of my mine are mean in any way. They are all very friendly. The closest thing I have to Ameracauna right now is a one year old Spangled Russian Orloff roo with too much white. Other than that I might some blue/wheaten am roos to choose from this fall--depending on how these new eggs go....

hmm I didn't pay too much for it ?? Dang and I thought I was doing really good things for my chickens!!!! They have all kinds of Rooster booster products here, for roo fighting of course!! they try to keep it on the down low, but we know whats going on!!!!

I use Rooster Booster all of the time.

It's a vitamin K & vitamin B12 supplement. I give it to all of my new birds that come in from shipping and anytime they are stressed and/or in quarantine.

I may also have a Splash BLRW rooster available soon. This weekend we are going to attempt to place our new black BLRW roo in Wyatt's pen with him and his girls. We're also putting in a new pullet, so William the new roo is not all by himself. They are just about 16 wks old. If things don't go well and the 2 roo's don't get along, I'm afraid Wyatt may have to go. My daughter's won't be happy with me if that is the case, but I would really rather have the black BLRW in with my splash BLRW hens, than a splash roo, and I don't have room for both, if they don't get along.

I also just hatched out 5 new BLRW chicks over the last 2 days. If any of them are roo's, they will have to go too, if you want them really young!

At some point today, we lost power.

So I lost the last few BLRW bantams (one is still alive)--all 7 of the black Muscovies and all of my white calls that were due tomorrow.

One even pipped and then died in the shell. The incubators were back & running but at all odd temps and low humidity when I got home.
