Good for you. You could get a nice buissness running by selling honey soon. Yum.

CR: I saved my empty honey bottle

It is very, very, very empty for a long, long, long time now.

I have a 'pen' that you 'dot' on insect bites, called itch stop I think...anyway, it is like a fat felt pen, and it contains 100% ammonia, and it works, just a dot.

Well I don't remember whose eggs you have in the bator! I can tell you Willow's eggs are generally rounder, Wynona's are more normal egg shaped?

Did you end up with any other darker one's or just the one you posted earlier? I'm anxious to see them all!!! I did email my other buyer too. She came the weekend after you and I had another hatch the day after you left and she took them all!

Ok I'll try to get separate pics they are little boogers right now!!! full of P&V !!! lol!

Someone also told me that if you take a B1 tablet every day, the mosquitos will leave you alone. Don't know about spiders, though.
I'm gonna try it to see if it works on NO-SEE-UMS. They have been chewing on me so much that I think I have actually lost weight!!!

I take hordes of B complex and that does not work.
A friend insists brewer's yeast (full of B also) and that does not work either.
Only a spider would crawl under the covers & get ya.
Maybe have hubby bug bomb the bedroom..and you stay out while he does it & then change the bedding ?

I want some bees !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't help ya this year but next year if you get the wooden ware I can probably do a split to get ya started. While They are awesome they do require some work to help keep them going and they are not cheap to get started. If I were to buy the bees I have captured over the last 2 days it would be about $150. and that is just for the bees not the brood box $60 x2 plus bottom board $20, inner cover $13, telescoping top $25 and then honey supers when the time comes.

Yes, I agree and with Ogress too. A person who has learned a trade or two can almost always find a job.

I was recently being interviewed for a job. It was two snobby women ( I know who they are) doing the interview. One of them says in one word describe yourself. I never paused or hesitated I just looked right at her and said WEALTHY ! She got a puzzled look on her face and then I went on. You see I don't have a lot of money and fancy things but I have what money can't buy. I have a wealth of skills, knowledge and good friends I am wealthy. They looked at each other and some comment was made about not hearing that before. Needless to say I am not building ambulances at that company.

Chickie, Is that a Blue Wheaton Am in the second picture? Do you want to trade? I just have brother/sister and need an outside roo.

I only have one

I suggest you contact Cheryl, she has the same birds, I hatched them & split them with her.
She has several extra Wheatens...I only have 1 Blue Wheaten and am keeping him.
I do not know if Cheryl has an extra Blue Wheaten ???
I have lots of Blues, so we will undoubtedly get a Blue Wheaten (Blue Wheaten Cock over Blue Hens and Wheaten Cock over Blue Hens) so will have eggs....
Contact Cheryl & see.
I DO have 3 or 4 more excellent Wheaten Ameraucana Cockerals though..

..........didn't get 1 pullet, although Cheryl did.

Dang, I thought I had read a post where you both got plain Wheatons and no blues so thought yours may have suprized you. I'll ask Cheryl just in case but if you change your mind let me know. He is from Pips and Peeps line. Been trying to win some Peachick eggs in the auction but they are way too expensive. Awesome color though.
