For me it WAS called Michelle but now that she won't be able to for at least most of the summer. I will have to try her step dad. I am sure he will do ok.
Ya need to get ya a good neighbor friend.

Mine was called Owen, but he's in London this summer. I may be able to get a kid down the street to do it. It's not hard. The important thing is to remember to feed the dog when the chickens are not out.

Toni is a good duck sitter..ask her ?

I also did not add any of the 'bad' stuff commercial eggs DO have: Hormones, antibiotics and so on.
The abundance of vitamin D in free range eggs is almost nothing in commercial eggs, something like .0002 % instead of the 4 to 6 X free range eggs we have.

And you can always just post a photo of the battery cage hens most people get their eggs from. 1 look at that photo and they may be willing to pay 10X as much!

What is even grosser is a picture of a broiler chicken barn...where they sit in their own poop & do nothing but eat.
My broiler chicks are out back..digging up worms from a hole DH just dug in their paddock..they are running like the wind, playing worm football, no aerial passing tho~~
It is hysterical..they are 2 weeks old, little butter balls.
Nothing like the poor birds commercially farmed for meat.
have you all seen the video of the meat chicken ?
It is so sad..I will see if I can find it.

Here is one:

This is not the saddest one though::

THIS IS THE SADDEST VIDEO:::::::::::::::: Makes me cry~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Another, sad sad sad,::::

I am so glad my babies are eating wormies and playing in the sunshine!!!

Well, I've got the 1" mesh chicken wire up over the arches and centered and ready to stitch on: I keep coming up with cute ways to use up my way too many half-inch and bigger facetted beadsto make the connection but I'm going to use the wire that bound the rolls of wire and do an overlapping running stitch, unless I can find my big old crochet hooks and then I'll do chain stitch... now that I think of it, Fred Meyer's has crochet hooks.

I just remembered that I can't catch the bus inbound because only a crazy person crosses my street on foot at five, so I've got ten minutes to get dressed and out the door, oops.
