It's amazing how awful this place looks when I stop puttering.
DH's boss told me I have adult ADD because I have a million started projects, but it takes me forever to get any of them complete because on the way upstaris to retrieve a pair of scissors, I am distracted by a smudged mirror so I bo back down to get the amonia from the laundry room, but then I see the load in the washer is done, so I go out to hang it, but then I hear a hen do her egg song so I go into the coop to gather eggs, see a waterer that is empty, take it back to the laundry room for a scrub, remember the amonia, head back up the staris and see some laundry on the floor, and when I pick it up and find the pair of scissors that I needed, only I can no longer remember what I needed them for, so I bring them down and put them on the kitchen counter to remind me, but pass the window that looks out at the laundry line and I see a chicken in the basket of clean wet clothes, so without paying any attention to where I am setting them, I put the scissors down so I can go get the chicken out of the basket .....
QFT.
I've been officially diagnosed with ADHD.
What, this board doesn't have a "me, too" smiley? We've talked about this, of course, but not in this venue. I never know for sure what's going to end up being done when I set out to work; part of this is just farming, although it settles down after calving season's over, but a lot of it is ADHD making it hard to complete whole sequences of tasks. Of course, the last couple of weeks, that hasn't been true; I've been hyperfocussed on finishing the two quarantine structures, and everything else might as well not existed, although there was "check the chickens' feed and water" written into certain points in the day.
Also, I would like to note that Sylvia has layed an egg two days in a row! Way to go, Sylvia!
