I wish I could get rid of my rabbits, but even Zathras' diligent hunting of the tinies leaves me with at least six right around the house; when I was clearing for the Tower of Solitude I found a bed, but not one for babies. I'm trading smart pills for smart pills, the wether will chew down the rabbits' (well, hares*, but who's counting?) cover and leave me with the kind of poo you can clean up with a broom.

*Southern population of Lepus americanus the snowshoe hare; there are no true rabbits west of the mountains, minus the feral european rabbits in some parks.

or suck up in a vacuum.............ewwwwwwwwwww.
Works great and is actually kind of fun...but your vacuum will forvever stink like rabbit doodie unless you change the bag

I dropped the can of Starbucks expresso a few weeks ago.

.scooped in as much as I could, then vacuumed.
And NOW everytime I vacuum, the ENTIRE WORLD smells like fantastic coffee!!!!!!!!!!

Then I gotta stop and go get me a coffacuppey.

I've got a big shopvac, but I also have a whole bunch of flower beds that need fertilizer, and sheep pellets are great slow-release fertilizer, unlike cow flops which burn and must be composted. (Or chicken, let us not be modest about that).

The house vacuum gets a jolt of vanilla when it starts smelling too much like dog, but it's at the point now when it may need demoted to sheep poo.

I'm fine with doing that at a leisurly pace, but I would also point out that my three tiny ladies have given me twenty eggs since last Wednesday and other people shold think of Hamburgs as home laying hens.

(I also boggled as Suzzy wolved down a whole slug the size of my thumb, and not for the first time).

Thanks. I'm thinking into next year, because as cute as Elvis is, he's from My Pet Chicken and is unlikely to be show quality, and I'm trying to (gently and tactfully) push The Nephew to showing chickens, and will want a SQ rooster. The Citrons are a far away dream at the moment: it may just be the Beef Cattle background, but I'd rather end up with the best flock of SSHs in the state than a whole bunch of kinds of Hamburgs. This is at a contrast with my avarice for every kind of Wyandotte ever, in LF and Bantam, but I've decided that I am just not sensible in the face of Wyandottes. It's much more the insane rose lady part of my brain I'm using with them.

It could happen, we've not run away from home for a while.

If not, I'm hijacking the bearded one to Cheney next spring to photograph wildflowers at Turnbull NWR, so I'll be looking for addresses and so on until then.

Turnbull is awesome.

There is at least one gold brabanter in Spokane, but she's no native. She came from spanaway.

Turnbull is spectacular in early May; I went there the day after my daughter graduated from UM Missoula, and the only things I'd change would be to have a longer lens, a tripod, and mosquito repellant.

I need to run away from home.

It's something essential to the mental health of all of us, man; I've got a sincere need to not be here for a day or two some time soon, but I also have no back-up on the livestock at the moment.
