Sorry don't know what they may bee.

OK, I went to see how they were, and cannot find any, nor a hole in the ground either..maybe they left town ?
DH said they were all there last eve..about 20 of them, small, black & yellow, slightly flatish, and slightly furry, not big round & fuzzy like a bumbler.

It could happen, we've not run away from home for a while.

If not, I'm hijacking the bearded one to Cheney next spring to photograph wildflowers at Turnbull NWR, so I'll be looking for addresses and so on until then.

I need to run away from home.

I wish I had a home to run away from.

It's something essential to the mental health of all of us, man; I've got a sincere need to not be here for a day or two some time soon, but I also have no back-up on the livestock at the moment.

Cannot feed up early, pack a picnic the night before, so you can leave early & be gone all day ?
What about sis taking care of the place for a day or two ?

Way cool info on native bees!

http://pollinator.org/PDFs/Identifying_Native_Bees_PosterFINAL.pdf

Apparently, the bees I ran over with the wacker are endangered...crapola!
The society is asking anyone who spots various bumblers to contact them...sheesh, how far did they move, I wonder ???
I feel bad now.
Had I known they were there, I would have left them a big space.

Hay season: she and her husband both are working 13-15 hour days. Except this weekend, when they're taking off for two days for their 20th wedding anniversary. Will wonders never cease? Hiring a nanny and everything. They deserve it, they've been haying since April, and have the first cutting mostly done. And he spent the last month taking care of his sister's elderly and infirm horses while she was off playing in Ireland. And they have a thirteen-year-old who plays the trombone.

The difference between my sister's sister-in-law and my brother-in-law's sister-in-law is that the latter has limits to her sense of entitlement.

We can't really go anywhere until my husband can drive without hurting. I could take off by train and go visit a friend who's got a beach place in Oregon, I suppose, but the last time I stayed with her I ended up on a futon one of her son's had spilled a pint glass of ice-water on, and I'm so very over soggy futons.

I made it all the way to Del's today, and got the livestock panels for making the sheep tractor.
