Hi guys! Just jumping in really quick again. (I'm at the library)

Hope everyone is enjoying the 1 or 2 days of summer that we get.

Taking my ducks to the auction on Saturday.

Blueducklings- Spot and Blackie are getting big and so pretty! We take our evening walks around the yard together.

Ok I'm getting kicked off the puter... You only get an hour a day on the internet.

These people obviously do not know anything about us Washingtonians on BYC!!!!!

I could not get a deep breath till the next day. Thank goodness my grandparents moved from there to TX, then up here, where we can all breath and wear dry clothes.

Same thing in Boston. Got off the plane and felt like I hit a wall! I'm from Cali and thought it was humid, moved here and thought it was really humid. But in Boston, I learned what humidity really was!!!

Uh,yeah. I'm from New England and it is awful there. Can't live there without A/C!!

My birds love carrots. Prefer them cooed though. About the only vegi that they refuse to eat is onion.

I have read they don't eat raw root crops. I haven't had luck with carrot or potato peels, but if cooked, they will eat them.

I remember reading somewhere that chicens shouldnt eat potatoe peels, as they can not break the skin down, and it can cause impaction of the crop.

Mine refuse carrots.

Mine (no breeds I have) will eat any kind of carrot, cooked, raw peels, nothing.
I have not tried the meaties, though

Those little porkers may eat anything!!

Speaking of chicken food...
I am getting low on layer & flock raiser.
I was buying max grow (20%) from Patriot farms, and adding a 50# sack of ground corn to it, for the meaties.
Since, his prices have gone up & up to the point where it is not worth the drive anymore what with gas added in to the final price.
So we are shopping the feed sales & going to buy at Monte feed or Del's as we go that way anyways, so won't be out the tank of gas we use going to Winlock.
But we do not get the newspaper.
So, within a week I will need flcok raiser or a broiler feed, and layena crumbles.
Anyone see feed on sale, please PM me!!

I will get some scratch & layer at Dennis Company here in town to hold me over.
I just read Del's web site, says no ad right now.
I am waiting for the 4th of July sale...gotta have alot of places ahving 4th of July sales!!!
