Any partidge like the one your daughter had at the fair?

No, these look to be mostly blue, a few black and a few lavender. The blue and black are split for lavender too. I just know that you want some!!!

My mother had a trailer (horse) in the back - last year. DH sat on top of it and shot 12 (yes TWELVE) skunks as they came out from under an old out-building on the back 40. I made him strip to his "almost" skivvies before he came in the house...he stunk so bad. I don't think there is a worse smell.

I am still worried there were skunk babies with the adult....I did not check the adult's sex or teets........

I have heard horror stories about Mama skunks moving in under homes with 6-8 kits..............ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!
I cannot imagine the stink you had from your DH shooting so many skunks!!

Well, 2 days ago I had 1 chick that was (as far as I was concerned) dead. Another one was looking droopy. I brought them both in . The one (dead one) was actually just lying in the box. I was force feeding/watering. I also did subq fluids. I did add Corid. Yes, Cocci hit my home again. But guess what? Here are the two babies (everyone else outside had Corid added, and all are doing well) as they sit in my kitche tonight. And yes, the little one is the one I gave up for dead:

I will put them back out with the flock tomorrow:

The chick yard is not as deep with sand and wild song birds can still get in. Also, I had let the little ones out to free range. The bacteria must be really bad around my place. It takes awahile for everyone to get used to it, I guess.

I cannot believe that this one bird lived. She is so ready to go back out to the run.

I heard raw tator peel can kill chooks! Any body know .

If it is a big hunk it can block the crop.
So can apple peel, and a big peel of carrot, cucumber or dog kibble.
Nothing is ground up in the crop, it has to funnel through a tube the size of a large pencil, then goes to the gizzard to be ground up.
Grapes, cherries are bad too.

raw potato skins are poisonous to many things. especially if they are getting green. toxic. dont feed them.
