Well, shucks! I thought you guys were in a hurry! I loved visiting with you and your friend. I could talk chickens all day. When I get a fridge down in the tack room I can start offering drinks. We can sit on the porch and kick it with the country tunes! Let me know if the chickens work out for your friend, sorry, not good with names. She can always bring them back and try something else. The dogs love it when people come by. Dozer our Lab especially loves it when folks bring their kids. He tries to get in their car to snatch up all the crumbs and fries left on the floor by the younguns! They are very well socialized due to all our visiters.

I LOVE NOOBIES !!

Rhymes with other words.

Dove, glove etc.

I am giving up on Faverolles...again.

I vowed this would be my last year attempting to raise them (fourth year). I started out with large fowl and they died as soon it was above 100 degrees. This is my third attempt at bantams. The last pair of bantams died when it was below zero.

After spending hundreds of dollars in eggs this summer to end up with 7 chicks hatching--and now, they are dying one by one. I cannot figure out what the deal is. I did have them with my goslings who plucked all of the chicks' back feathers out. After separating the goslings from the chicks, the best pair of favs I had died. All of the other breeds I have hatched at the same time are thriving and just fine. hmm Even though everyone was picked!?

Anyway, I'm down to just two boys (one blue & one black) and three girls now. PM me if you're close enough to pick them up....I'll let them go cheap.

OK so my question should have been..... What would you be willing to pay for this??

I would pay somewhere around $100. Give or take a few.

Quincy is, as usual, ADORABLE!!! Where is his pink bandana?

Quincy forgot his pink bandana (yes he has and wears one) that trip. And it was never SAID WHO THAT IS in the drivers seat so you are drawing conclusions based on assumptions !!!!!

Now what other guy would wear pink? It was not an assumption but a process of elimination.

So you need to add the cost of material than figure how many hours it took to work on it and how much do you think your pay should be a hour. Add that all together than double it at the very least.
Hope this helps you.. You know people dont buy cheap stuff also at place's like this becasue they think something is wrong with it. I went to one show and had my stuff marked down thinking it would sell and not one look. So I put my price up to normal and every one can and looked...

Oh, lord: THIS.

I've had trouble selling earrings at $7.50 at a charity table that were being snapped up at $20 at the Farmer's Market: people are weird.

I gave up going to shows - I lost money at every one of them. Worst was the Bellevue Club. I think it was $179 for the space, and they charged for the chairs and table rental, plus you had to buy your dinner from them. We spent about $240 and sold a $27 pair of earrings. Plus gas, time ... I've done better donating things for charity auction and then having others request similar.

Thank you - feelin better.
Kids - no way will I give them your number. They work me now as it is. I'm exhausted. I think teenage boys get PMS too.

Uh Yeah.....they do! I have two and the 16yo gets it all the time! Lol! I thought I would be getting out of that with boys, but I guess not. Oh well.

It is my 16 yo right now that is spiking on the PMS...my gosh that boy is trouble.

He is a good kid....but he is one raging hormone. He is very active in HS sports. Starting school year this is our order: Football, wrestling, Track, and then for the summer we top it off with swimming. I just made the comment to my DH the other day what a huge chest middle DS has. He is in fantastic shape...oh ya, forgot, he lifts weights occasionally and rides bicycle in down time. Good for him. I keep telling him girls are trouble and are expensive. He won't listen to me.
