Central Indiana. I'm used to midwestern and southern summers - not that they're entirely great, mind you, but when the summer temps don't even make it to 70 degrees, it just seems a little wrong.

Central Indiana and Eastern Kansas probably have the same type of weather. We moved here from Redwood Valley, Ca in 79, I was around 13, I am still not use to it. 70* temp would be grand.

We are planning on moving to WA. Just because we want to. We love the Estes Park/Rmnp of Colorado but it is to costly for us. Washington has mountain with the added perk of the Ocean close by.

Apparently you should be wary of me, for I am a stalker.

Don't say you were not warned.

just to mention, my dad was from Independence KS, and he still has cousins and their descendants in Sedan

I spent the day in the pursuit of happiness. That involved gardening of course. I did stop to indulge Mr H in a game of Scrabble. He is a Scrabble fanatic even though I usually beat the pants off him. I am stiff and sore from bending all afternoon, but I got most of the edging out front done. I do it all without machinery. There's not a lot of grass, mostly grass path, but that means a lot of edge in proportion to the lawn. I also pulled a LOT of holly seedlings, and fertilized the rhodies that suffered so much winter damage last winter. The roots should be okay, so hopefully they'll put on lots of growth. Now, It's time for a shower and some over the counter painkillers.

I miss my sons, but Owen is in London, and Evan is at an age when friends are more important. I'll see him and his wife on Thursday.

You and I are the same age. I grew up in CA as well, but in the Bay Area.
