My ice cream does taste a bit like lotion if you eat it by itself, but if you put just a little in the same bowl as a deep chocolate, it is very good. Unfortunately, I had eaten the chocolate already, so I was not as thrilled with the ice-cream as usual. It really tasted like the aroma of my plants. My first memory of lavender is in some yummy almond nougat that some Italian people used to give me as a child every time my mom went to them to buy cheese, so I think of it more as food than I do body products, but I have been using lavender mint tea tree shampoo for a year now because I love the way it smells.
I posted a question once on Old Fashioned Broody back when I was trying to hatch eggs. I never got a reply, so I gave up on that thread. I have no clue what I'm doing, but thankfully my hen does! All the fertile eggs I put under her hatched and the chicks are about 5 weeks old now. She is pretty good at following me around and squaking until I get her what she wants. Last night she tried to get all her chicks to join her on a high roosting bar, only 1 chick, the web-footed one, made it! She hopped down for a while and gathered her chicks under a step stool for the night. No interest anymore in the low nest box I provided. She wants to take her chicks into the yard to free range, but we have too many arial preadators for me to let them out until they are full size, so she will need to make do with the coop and run, their half is over 200 SF. I could not separate the toes not the chick as they were grown into each other, but it has not hampered the chick at all. He/she?? is the most agile! I'll have to check out the Stink Eye thread.
I love the linoleum flooring, but don't buy linoleum tile as they will peel up. Lowes is a great place to look for large scraps. I think it could be used in a brooder if you pt a decent amount of shavings on it.
