CL, you and me are in the same boat. I have 17 cockerels, THAT I KNOW OF, that need to go. I have 18 chicks that are still too young to tell what I've got. I listed them on auction here for free to BYC'ers as I can't possibly put that many in my freezer. Whatever doesn't go here goes in the freezer, and maybe in RobB's freezer too!

Nope, no leghorn's over here!!! The only white egg layer I have is one single polish lady.

I was going to rise in defense of the lovely USDA medium eggs my wonderous Hamburgs lay, but then I started thinking about adding a couple of blue Ameaucana bantams to that pen for variety... *sigh*

I cannot acquire more chickens for a while, I have too much else to do. Really.

(I blame my cousin, who has a couple of darling blue and splash Ameraucana bantams which are the cutest things ever, except not what I'd want a whole pen of).
