Classic dessert wine, that one. Then there's the Hungarian stuff, which I think is called Imperial Muscat, very sweet and velvetty stuff.

Me, I had the misfortune once to have a real Private Reserve Tualatin Pinot Noir, and now everything else tastes like ink or cough syrup.

Moscato can be sweet, medium, or somewhat dry, depends on which varietal is used, how long the fermentation is allowed to go on, and whether any additions are made to it ... it can also be allowed to freeze and become Ice Wine

but it is somewhat different from the old standard muscatel ....

I love Ice Wine - before we built this house (when we still had $ for fun things), we used to go to Winthrop each fall and stay at Sun Mountain, ride bikes, hike... we'd also go to the Farmers Market and buy a fresh-made mini apple pie and share it with a bottle of ice-wine. Yum!

I walked down the hill this morning to feed my neighbor's dog. They had a friend take out the trash for them last night. I wish she would have called me to do that this morning. A bear got into it over night so DD and I spent some time gathering up all the trash.

When I wascoming back up the hill, I noticed that the weeds are so bad in front of my house looking from that direction that our property looks like a foreclosure (not much time for weeding this summer, so I have been doing what can be seen from my windows rather than what can be seen from the street). I spent a good hour or more pulling weeds without even stepping into the house first to get my gloves. What is the best way to get plant guts out from under finger nails?

Funny you all are talking about ice wine! I have tried lots of different wines and hate them all! Then my parents were in town and we went to dinner and they had me try an ice wine LOVED IT!!!! but now I cant really find it anywhere! And I DON'T want to spend a million bucks for a bottle!

Any suggestions?

My 3 kids too are adopted - they are all siblings. And all 3 were exposed to drugs in utero. We have always talked very openly about drugs and how you easily they could get addicted. But still he tried it. I know at someday he will come around. right now I think he just needs to see what real life is about. Younger kids seem fine with all that is going on...they are doing well. Less stress and pressure to home.

I want to thank everyone for your prayers and thoughts.

ETA: I did this from my cell phone and it does not make sense.
