Yep. My wireless network is call Borg. I have had many attempts of people trying to get on my network and none have succeeded.

I have been known to use the phrase: "you have been assimilated" on many occasion. Wow. now I feel real geeky. I was trying to remember the Kirk episode with the little fuzzy balls that mass produced...I called and asked my brother. I did not even have the entire question out of my mouth, he tells me: "Tribbles". Tells me the episode: "Trouble with Tribbles". I would say he is worse than me.

ah yes ..... Tribbles

I remember the fuss about those and about David Gerrold's story, since many remembered the story by Robert Heinlein about the "Martian flat cats" (The Rolling Stones??? ) which those Tribbles strongly resembled ... Heinlein himself finally pronounced that he himself was simply retelling the "rabbits in Australia" story -- that it was not an original idea with him, but that the fact that both flat-cats and tribbles PURRED, was a little close

not so much a Trek fan (though I enjoyed all the series, and really liked both Scotty and Mr Spock) -- but a long time SF fan -- introduced to that genre by my older cousin when I was ten or eleven ... and wish I lived in some of McCaffrey's worlds

I am excited about the John Carter of Mars movie that should be out next year. I just hope they don't muck it up.

let's hope that they don't stray too far from the book .... I was appalled at what happened to Starship Troopers; pleased with Dune (though you had to have read the book to understand the movie !), and wish they could film some of James Blish's, Clifford Simak's, and Bob Shaw's stories

oh well, at least we had Harlan Ellison writing some of the TV series stuff ....

I have referred to my sister's Silkies as Tribbles with legs many times! She doesn't think it's particularly funny.

well at least I can see that my day is going to get better. From all of this Trekk Talk it can't go anywhere but up. Never been a fan and never will be. Star Trek, Star Wars and Avatar all a waste of time. You go ahead and think what you want and I the same but yer never gonna change my mind nor shall I try to change yours but we shall still have the freedom to voice our opinion.

well -- chickens do purr, though I would say they don't reproduce quite in the same fashion as Tribbles, nor I think do they have that voracious appetite

DH was surprised, this morning, that the pullets weren't eager to get out in the run .... Roopert of course immediately popped out to see what was going on

(I am NOT a morning person so DH is my coop-door-opener since he's a lark-y sort; I do the close-at-days-end since DH cannot see well at dusk --- glasses way too thick)

so they will wait to get their morning sunflower seed snack, until we hear them announcing "I'm up!"

first egg song usually starts about an hour from now, but with this gloomy morning, that may come a bit later

they're at 25 weeks now ... laying pretty steadily --- 4 to 6 eggs a day which is pretty doggoned good for six pullets ! seems I can always count on Christina's, which is neat since she lays a jumbo size egg, and Deirdre is nearly as dependable

I need to get a few more egg cartons, so I can sort these all out, take a few baskets of eggs to neighbors; I'm now kind of wishing I'd thought to borrow an incubator, since I suspect that chicks at THIS time of year, would be popular with those who didn't get theirs at the feed store in spring
