I'm trying to be polite and affable and unlike the person you first met on the AOL garden board. I have matured.

Also, I've used up my "Someone is wrong on the internet" allowance today.

I need to go to bed and stop making bad jokes, I expect.

What a fun site. Now, I'm going to be looking at it instead of going to bed.

Be sure to catch the mouse-over lines; there's a secondary punch line to every comic.

I have been known to use the phrase: "you have been assimilated" on many occasion. Wow. now I feel real geeky. I was trying to remember the Kirk episode with the little fuzzy balls that mass produced...I called and asked my brother. I did not even have the entire question out of my mouth, he tells me: "Tribbles". Tells me the episode: "Trouble with Tribbles". I would say he is worse than me.

ah yes ..... Tribbles

I remember the fuss about those and about David Gerrold's story, since many remembered the story by Robert Heinlein about the "Martian flat cats" (The Rolling Stones??? ) which those Tribbles strongly resembled ... Heinlein himself finally pronounced that he himself was simply retelling the "rabbits in Australia" story -- that it was not an original idea with him, but that the fact that both flat-cats and tribbles PURRED, was a little close

not so much a Trek fan (though I enjoyed all the series, and really liked both Scotty and Mr Spock) -- but a long time SF fan -- introduced to that genre by my older cousin when I was ten or eleven ... and wish I lived in some of McCaffrey's worlds

Tribbles have much to do with my distrust of Silkies.

Field medics carry tampons to stop bullet wounds from bleeding. Whatever woiks, y'know?

OK peoples, I never said I didn't think it was a good idea to use them for whatever ails ya. Just pictured a bald guy with one taped to his head. Geez. At least Rustler gets it! Thanks for the email big guy. Yes, you probably would have got spanked for that. Oh, and the one about 'what women/guys want' was a good one too. I appreciate you.

Well, thread is dead so I'm off to work. Gonna try and make some of Chickies B&B pickles tonight. Yikes, never made any kind of pickles before so we'll see how it goes. Toodles.

This will be one of the victims

Hi guys!
We are getting 8 birds ready to do the Fair, friend Andrea has twisted my arm to bring some birds....CCG you remember Andrea ?
The girl is hip deep in trying to get some poultry in the barn at the fair.
I am bringing a pair of Cuckoo Marans, a pair of Blue Ams, Blue Wheaten Ams and Buckeyes, and a pair of Midget White Turkeys.
So, gotta go!!
Y'all have fun.
Oh, I didn't want to, but I did, pick 1 pumpkin & took it to the fair yesterday.
Dropped off alot of vegies & paintings.
The pumpkin was a mere baby at 65 pounds...I will take pics tomorrow.
I hate to think how big it would have gotten til frost, but I have 4 others still on the vine & just as big or bigger, and still have Cinderella pumpkins too.
(Fair opens tomorrow)
OK, bye guys!!

Trying to calibrate the relationship of my weather radar site to reality: it indicates that right now or in the past half-hour (9am Tuesday) it's raining at North Bend and possibly Indianola. True? False? Utterly silly?

(Yesterday, according to the same radar, it stopped raining about 4pm: Utterly Silly).
