Does the Loup Loup or Disautel moutian passes count? LOL. Sorry. It is early in the morning and I should be getting ready for work. first High School football game tonight...will be fun.
Loup Loup's officially the North Cascades, and Disautel's in the Okanogans, which is north of the path I took and west of Spokane, which I was arbitrarily using for a divider. I get to be a bit of a smart*ss about mountains; it started when I was in college and somebody from Colorado complained that the Olympics were "cheating" because their base is close to sea level, and was exacerbated by travelling to Montana too often and hearing that Snoqualamie Pass is no big deal (of course, one year we went over White, which is a big deal: not as big as Washington Pass on 2, but only a couple of hundred feet lower than Fourth of July Pass).
Well, and growing up on Yelm Prairie gave me a strong definition of what a Proper Mountain looks like. (About 40 miles of clear air at 350 feet looking 5 degrees north of due west at a 14,411 ft of triple-crowned stratovolcano makes an impression).
Once upon a time, when I was living in Flushing, NY, I passed an elderly woman who commented on how hard it was for her to go up the hill. Hill? Hill? I didn't see anything I'd call a hill, but I guess it's all relative. When I looked I did see the slightest incline.

I don't like Pampers at all--that's what she was in the first two times this happened...she's now in the Huggies "Swaddlers."

Hi all, Its been a while. Ive been so busy like the rest of you all. Is anyone showing birds at the Puyallup fair next week? I am going to try but have not got a clue on how,what or why I am going? LOL, I know I will look like a fool but thought it would be fun. I will get free fair tickets too. I was going to enter a few sussex and cochins and a few others. I hope I dont get disqualified for anything but I guess thats part of learning. I need to find a good trustworthy person to show me the ropes. If there is anyone who shows in or around Puyallup-Graham area that has show poultry and would be interested showing me the ropes(after fair is over) please let me know. I can read but nothing sticks. Hope to see a few of you there!

or sit inside my car, wiff the windows rolled up and looking at the "hot" summer sun. Then, I can wear my t-shirt and summer shorts and flip flops. then W/O thje ac on, drive to Dairy Queen and have a soft serve.

Its getting colder and darker each day
& my bones are not liking it.
I need to retire & leave town wiff the birds every fall. I'm so afreared of the cold. I aint born for this kind of cold and I don't ski either.
So I am not cashing in on a very long ski season.
Boy that condo in Maui is looking better everyday.

If Dad gets a condo on the Big I sland for a month this winter, I'll go spend a week with him.
IFF-- big IF -- we are in the main house when we go back to Maui in late December/early January -- any and all are invited to come visit
three bedroom rambler, plus a studio-apt sized fully enclosed spa room that used to be a lanai
will depend on whether our current tenants have found alternative lodgings, otherwise we will be only in that spa room ourselves
don't have airline reservations yet, waiting to see what the deal is with DS ... and whether he can hold down the fort here while we go there
(supposedly decisions will be made in a couple of weeks)
