I am all motivated to finish stuff this week, at least partly because I found out that galvanized channel flashing comes in 8" wowza, that'll make up for a whole lot of settling/warping/bad carpentry on the corners, won't it?

On the other hand, heck of a weekend, very tired, also totally dosed down with Benadryl after stumbling into an old rabbit nest full of nasty giant rabbit fleas while wearing the denim jumper I work in in hot weather and no socks. The choice seems to be itch or deal with brain-fog, and itching is provably a bad idea.

is After Bite (or equivalent) too much for your allergies ?
or plain straight old ammonia ?

another possibility is to get one of those clay masks intended for use on the face --- surely there is one of those without that cosmetic ingredient which you are sensitive to

Do we know a time? I'm all for seeing people, but I have to start planning food/insulin/et'c the day before. (That's a "probably yes" by the way).

Thursday, I have to be in Woodinville from 6-7. I might be able to stop in briefly around ~7:45ish.

I think I can make it for an hour or so

I tried all that stuff first- except Ammonia which is tricky because I have skin that dries and cracks easily. And Tea Tree oil, which I'm out of and will buy today.

I'd forgotten about the fleas attendant upon rabbit (or to be precise, southern population of the Northern Varying Hare) invasions: I can date Zathras' demise by the age of fearless half-grown rabbits which have invaded my yard since! I've also noticed less rabbit sign since the GHO had been hooting in the oak trees for a couple of weeks.

The thing about rabbit fleas is they don't infest the animals so much as their nests and paths: you have to step into a scrape to know they're there.

copying Dana's post:

I looked at the calendar. It appears this coming Wednesday works, the following Wednesday does not. So Wednesday, September 14th for South Sound get-together? 5:30, 6 PM at Vino Aquino. We can do a little wine tasting... If you'd like to bring a little simple something to nosh on with wine samples, that's great, otherwise don't worry about it. We'll keep it simple. I'm figuring maybe 6-8 PM for a visit?
ALL are invited, north enders, south enders, east, west. Who's available that evening? The wine shop is just 2 minutes from the 6th Avenue exit off Highway 16,(towards the Narrows Bridge).
The address is:
Vino Aquino
4417 6th Avenue
Tacoma WA 98406
(253) 272-5511

I haven't heard back from Donna (wsdareme) yet, possibly she might come too, but not likely ... she lives about a mile from us

figure we could pick you up around 4:30 ... perhaps that way we can miss the surge of state workers dashing for home or otherwise, allow plenty of time to get out to the wine shop which is almost to the Narrows Bridge

might wind up going part way on city arterials rather than I-5 ... depending on traffic

if I remember, I'll bring cubed cheese -- nice to have for those with blood sugar issues
