Wow, I went out of town to Vancouver BC for four days, and it has taken me all day to get caught up --40+ pages! My goodness! But I was compelled to read them all, for fear I would miss something. And now it is dark and I gotta run out to shut the coop door, then take DD to her small group from church. Ari-wish I lived closer to you and could help. I am tool-challenged, but I am a great babysitter! Hope you get it all worked out soon. There are some awfully sweet people on here!

I refuse to free range right now! That cockeral is MEAN!!! He goes after Chloe every chance he gets! He has even attacked my sister. Im about ready to give him the old chop, and replace him with another. Im just afraid that I dont have the stomache for it right now... So they are locked in the run, have access to their coop at all times, refuse to sleep in the coop at night, and wont lay in the nest boxes... But they spend a good amount of time in there during the day... Stupid chickens.

I have the Blue Ameraucana & the Wheaten, in a crate, ready to go bye bye, if you want one, let me know.
I suggest the Blue, he is a good boy, and will not 'go after' anyone. The Wheaten has issues tearing the hen's "hair" out, mounting too high & missing the target, and all my hens are bald

Ive been under the impression that you aren't supposed to breed Wheaton/blue Wheaten to other color verieties... Ive been told this by a few people on the Ameraucana thread... Is this wrong? And are you sure? cause I really like the wheaten veriety, and would hate to mess up their coloring...

That's really sad. That is so totally the opposite of what the breed should be like. It's a really interesting topic, though. I've been doing some reading online and it seems there are different opinions (isn't there always?) of what the cause is.

I hope the Golden Retriever breed doesn't go the way of the Cocker Spaniel...

Yes please, please I was raised by cocker spaniels then when we went to get one for our kids they had been runied.

I call these kind of dogs(the female) knottheads.
Sometimes one special -to them-human will come along and they will take to that one but usually not. It's realy very sad.

Wow! I didn't realize you were that close to your due date! Glad you're still feeling good. Maybe try and fit in a little rest soon?

We RVed there in April. It was ok. On pavement there was power at that was it. If you haven't already get a reservation soon as they have limited space. The nice thing is the spaces are all very close to all of the events. Do you know about when you may get there ? Maybe we could park together I hear a masked person may be having a potluck with a bunch of ducks on friday night.

I haven't called yet... forgot today!

I'll let you know how it goes. I'm not sure when we'll get there, our schedule is still TBD. Thanks for the info.!

Hi CR,
What do you think of the Fairgrounds as a place to RV camp? Do they have any hookups, especially power? It looks like we'll be taking our trailer down and I was thinking the fairgrounds would be super convenient. I like the wi-fi part, too. And I'll finally get to see your art in person.

That's good to hear. Thanks!
