Well that's interesting. I didn't realize you could sex them that early. I'll have to take some more photos when we get back in town. (We're still in AZ.)

Also, it looks like these chicks will be available after all. The family who was interested hasn't had time to build their coop and currently have too much going on. I think they're 6 weeks old on Tuesday, and would be ready to go when Whitey decides she's had enough. I'll bet they will look a lot different by the time we get home. They change so quickly.

Sure he sets there lurking until he gets a special post number then jumps in and grabs it.

The Ameraucanas we bought at the Monroe show are staying (hubby adores them) so now we need to figure out how we're gonna separate them for breeding. I'll be trolling the Craigslist-ings and Freecycle for good resources. It really never ends, does it?

Meanwhile, the Silkies and Cochin chicks are growing quickly, looks like we finally have some really great Bantam Frizzles! And of course, the requisite too many cockerels.

Anyone need some gorgeous cockerels?
Blue Cochin (Standard)
Mottled Cochin (Bantam)
Splash Silkie

Have your DH move to Kansas for one year and he will change his mind for sure.

I don't like big towns and DW does not small towns, Colville seams to fit.

Ya, he agrees with that...my DH is very opinionated and does not have a filter....meaning....things just seem to come out without any thought behind it. He would not want to live in Kansas (says you can keep the tornados) but Colville is not his cup of tea either.

That was very funny. I know that turkey can hurt you when they attack. I did have watch turkey that would attack anyone that came into the yard and would come up to me rub against me like a cat. I am amazed how fast a turkey can run.

Our turkey is good UNLESS you're carrying something. Then, I think he's begging but he's so dang big it's more like extortion- kind of like the 6 foot muscle guy with tattoos and piercings asking for a handout. I usually give him whatever I have so he'll go away.

Good thing I don't like tea.

So what is it about Colville that he does not like. Colville is not written in stone for us. It seem all the land that meets criteria is north of Spokane and north of the reservation. We have even looked at some properties up around Spirit Lake ID. This spring we are planning on a visit.
