Looks nice! Did you plan to move it around or let them free range (or neither)? I forgot. I'm debating whether to get one of those hanging feeders. I'm not sure where I'd hang it.

I have a deep belief in that statement.

I am so sorry for your pain Haller.

Thank you all.
It feels really weird to have hosed the dog poop off the lawn and patio for the last time. It's been a long time since I've been dogless.

It's staying put. Well, somewhere in about that place. We will get some headers for under it and elevate it a little. I haven't attached the runner. I got the runner for them to use until they are full grown and for extended weekends so they aren't locked up in the tiny part for a few day. When they are full grown they will be free range-ish in their part of the yard. I wanted the hanging one because Rhonda (RIR) is a crazed food digger. I figured that may curb it a little. I had a heck of time figuring out where to hang them since there is a door on either side and I wanted them to be able to move around without running into the feeder and water. I just checked on them and two of them were sitting on the ladder. They haven't figured out the upstairs yet, but they are loving the grass!

My girls will get on top of the hanging feeders and dig. I do a bit miffed, but they do tend to eat some of it off the ground. I also found that pellets are less wasteful. They fling the pellets around just has much, but less is trampled into the ground. I need to figure out a way to put a lid or a cone over the top of the feeders.

I'm sorry. I know how hard that is. Went through that back in June with my schipperke baby. Just more hugs for you

I'll see how they do. I found funnels at Lowes that would work, maybe. They might be too tall. I had pellets in the brooder, but I didn't like how much it didn't help the smell and how heavy it was. I was much more pleased with the shavings, but time will tell if I continue.

They were all laying on the ground so I grabbed them and tossed them in the upper part (in a much gentler fashion than that makes it sound

). One fell down the ladder in a panic and I put her back up. They have since calmed down and are sitting together. Hopefully they get through the night and figure out the ladder thing when they get hungry.

I would put the food just around the corner from the door so you can reach in easily. I took a oil drain pan, drilled a hole in it and slipped it upside down over the hanging wire of the feeder. Works good

So sorry, so much loss on loss- I remember losing Guinan the Easter after Mom died at Christmas, and it was just an imponderable added burden.

The run is just off to the side. I think it is 6ft long so they will have plenty of running room when I attach it. The feeder is closer to one door and the water is closer to the other. I had to move the feeder three times before I was OK were it was. Now the light. I am not looking forward to when I need to change the light bulb.

I guess when it happens, that day will be cleaning day as we put the light up top in the far back (do door back there).

I think I'm finally going to turn the computer off for the night. Take care and have a lovely evening all!!!
