Wow. That's terrible. I'm having trouble visualizing how it happened from your description...maybe because I'm used to logs being cut on flat land and not going anywhere. Anyway, good luck with the upcoming surgeries. What a roller coaster for your husband and MIL.

You do not have to be NPIP to show. For most shows, if you aren't NPIP, they will do a simple blood test on your birds after judging.

This is copied from the top of page 5 of the show cat.

"The state vet has asked that our show comply with current N.P.I.P. requirements. It is advisable that each exhibitor
have his or her birds blood tested for Pullorum-Typhoid (PT) prior to the show and/or have a valid certification. Birds that have
not been tested before are subject to blood testing by the state vet soon after judging.

NOTE: Ducks, Turkeys, and Pigeons are not yet required to be tested."

Exactly.

Thanks, yeah, DH walked back down there and looked at everything after his gpa explained it again, and he said it "kind of makes sense" but how / why it happened, nobody will ever know...

- I have not had to dea with any birds with respiratory issues; and I saw tonight where somone had posted about overdoing with Tylan. Keep asking - someone who knows is bound to see your question, hopefully soon.

Best of Luck!

Glad the rest of you made it home ok. I missunderstood and didn't think you were coming back until tomorrow.

They don't charge.

We were going to wait, but there was supposed to be more snow tonight, so we went for it. Once we got off of Summit Rd, we were fine, I took my rig out of AWD, and DH took the chains off the in laws truck, and Cabbage Hill was dry. It was a long day, but we are home. DH is up at the hospital, and DS and I are home.
