Does anyone happen to be missing some sort of random game bird in the Clark county area? I spotted something that looked like a domestic game bird, but it disappeared a second or two after I looked to it...

Crap, I was soooo getting used to the awesome weather, falsely leading myself to believe it would last the rest of the season. Dang, rain forecast for the whole week. So glad I got 40 bags of feed unloaded before it hit. Still need to go get hay though but the horses will eat it before it molds! I can only fit in a few bales at a time. Chickens are taking up all my space!

Rustler, you gotta be getting some of this weather by now!

Bittersweet day! Woke up to a phone call from my house cleaning client..... she decided to cancel my cleaning today. (She had forgot it was a holiday) It's nice to not have to scrub toilets and floors but... I needed the money too..

So my DD and I started the final HP movie right at 11:11am on 11-11-11!!!

I know...dorks!!

It is icky yucky poo poo weather outside!! The ducks are loving it tho!!

Broody---- YEEAAHH!!!!!

CL- Slow down woman!

CR--- I think your RIR banty coop would be perfect for QUACKERS!!!!

At first I thought she might be dirty and then noticed that it really is perfectly distributed - kind of like a shawl around her neck.
Your comment reminds me of my daughter's first summer day out in the sun.
I soaped her up good but she still looked a little - I dont' know, not exactly dirty but just different somehow.
Then I realized she had a tan. (I've never tanned in my life. Ever. Just burn, but not anywhere near as bad as Ogress.)
But back to Dottie. As you know, I'm not looking to show birds. She's just fine by us.
In fact, we think she looks like a rock star between the crest and the creamy blonde against all that blinding white and round polka dots.
She just needs shades!

I was originally thinking of naming my Spitz after punk rockers.

Well seems all the pretty blue color has faded from the clouds and now all I see is grey. We had a low of 25 at 6am have been to 57 and are now back to 42

It is a pretty nasty day. Im glad I got the flock fed before it started raining. I had all sorts of energy this morning. Was up and out of the house by 7, back home by 8:30 with enough time to find out my coffee pot quit working. lol Couldnt find the perculator, so just boiled up some coffee in a sauce pan, then strain. lol Farrier showed up at 9:05, and now I'm beat. Been trying to work through having a rib out of place. Its definately not comfortable to move to much. But I will survive without too much complaining. Day four already though, but I cant afford a vistit to the chyropractor. "sp?" So I work through it. Im really hoping that the rain lets up around 3. I hate walking down the clay mud hill at the barn to bring horses in for the night...

Oh well at least barn chores were done this morning.

Now I have to try and get some energy to clean my house... Sand, leaves, toys, DD's chlothing, and dogs everywhere! What a mess we make in a day...
