I got my watercolor cards in the mail..abox of 100 cards & envelopes made of blank watercolor paper (cotton) with deckled edge.
I suspect it is less than 140# press, however, so do not know how much wash it can take without curling up.
Anyways, I will paint now...if I can glue my butt down long enough to do so..
If I get going good, I planned on painting 5-10 cards and tie with raffia or ribbon & sell or donate a few packs to the chicken raffle.
I also got more water color tubes of colors I was running low on, all on sale at jerrysartarama.com right now, ON SALE !!!
***Sigh****
I went out & cleaned poop trays & coop floor wet bedding in all 3 coops today !!
YIPPEEEEE!!!
I went very slowly, but got the job done.
Getting better everyday & now I need to go rest, ice & elevate.
OK guys & gals...later!

P.S. Icelandics on sale here!!!!!!!!

I told all offspring and The Nephew to put the thing where it belongs after we had to put a post in to anchor the watering trough last summer. And of course when we needed it today, it wasn't there, nor was it where we last used it!

On the other hand, it only took 2 1/2 hours to get the 2/3 of the herd down at my BIL's place wormed and vaccinated today, and my cockerals (mostly, I hope) are gone, so this was a good day on average, to say the least.

Rest up, the show is only days away, make sure your leg is really better. Did you say you were taking Icelandics to demo? How can you do that if you are selling them?

I'm so glad you are a bit of a drive away from me, or I'd be there in a heartbeat

Where is this show? I think I need to know more than just Chehalis to find it.

All I got to say is if you are going to BLOW crap out of gutters you better be ready to clean up your own mess! Maintaining beds to look their best is a lot of work. It really irritates me to have to go and clean up gutter gunk out of them. Not to mention cleaning off the sidewalks and driveways.

Clean it up?
I got needles and leaves mixed together in my gutters that is gold for your beds as is the same needles and leaves on your roof that haven't started the break down process as much.
Only difference between gutter material and roof is the gutter material is more compact which the air breaks up a bit.

Why would I take the needles, leaves, tiny branches from my beds around my house?
When you blow out gutters it doesn't go far.
One side of my house has two chicken runs that I try to blow it into also.
That way when I dig out the sand in the spring for the raised beds it has been breaking down with the poop straw etc all ready for my beds.

Only thing I clean up is before starting the blower I grab all the big branches and from top of my roof I can throw them into my fire pit from my roof.
When I'm done cleaning the roof only thing I got to do is blow off the porch and deck, then put away the equipment.

You and I got a whole different view of what makes a bed look best.
That different view only makes since if one of your jobs is landscaping.

I like a plant that is healthy cause it's receiving what it normally would get.
A healthy plant that has leaves breaking down with needles most people not looking at the bedding they are admiring the flowers or the fruit what ever it is.

I see all the perfect beds driving through sub divisions and it doesn't surprise me.
People have been programmed for a long time it is to look perfect all the time.
That is just fine. That's the USA!
Creates jobs. Sells products.

I prefer my way.
And since my neighbors and so many who walk down my street comment on how healthy my plants are I may be changing a few people's minds about the 24/7 perfect bed look because after it breaks down it looks just like others beds without the chemicals and the money spent for them.

I didn't make it up to Monroe. It's been a tedious day here.

I keep my feed in a galvanized steel trash can. It's a small one (which I wanted, so I could keep it in the run). It won't hold a full 50 pound bag - maybe 40 or so. The rest is in my house. I learned about the rodents (I assume) when the chicks were in their brooder in the shed. Now I don't keep any feed there. But I don't have other trash cans for more feed, nor do I want to invest in them. So I guess I'll keep buying my one 50 pound bag as needed.

I think that people in this area (Seattle/burbs) have less of that mentality than other places I've lived. Sure, there are people (especially retirees in my neighborhood) who like to spend hours and hours meticulously working on their gardens, but many others are less meticulous. When I first came here, a little over a year ago, I was surprised how many yards were dried out (and brown) and how un-manicured they looked. It was a little unnerving, because I tend to associate brown, unkept properties with unsafe neighborhoods (don't ask how I came up with that - just my sheltered unbringing, I guess).
