Well we just had a little fun here. DW took the dogs out then she comes back in and just lolly lolly says hey do you want to go see what the dogs are barking at. Iam not one to ignore a barking dog so I grab lights andhead out (note to self shoulda grabbed the lead injector). I go out to find Quincy in the tall dead grass and he is just going nutzo. I made my way over there and I hear a deep growl !!! I am thinking he has a cat. as I get closer I see a HUGE possum. I am talking HUGE like pushing 25#. I get Quincy called off and have DW watch while I go in to get the lead injector. I get back out spot it and before I can see a clear shot it is gone! I look up and there it is 30' I made my way around the fence and it is once again gone. After lots of looking I decided it must have been going away into the dark making it not visible. I will be watching for that sucker. I may be adding a dish to the potluck. Poached Possum!! ! ! !

Okay, pros, what do you think?

They say to leave it. to let nature take its course. but I did intervene with my one, pulled off just a bit of shell and made sure the membrane was kept moist. Sorry. of course it is hard to watch. I know. Keep the humidity up. Hope for the best is probably the best outcome. How many others hatched?

Yeah, apparently that chicken dance works. I learned mine from 4312. She's pretty stingy who she shares it with though.
