I'll just tell you quietly how my girls are doing. four are still molting, three just PLAIN AREN'T laying

so out of the remaining 17 I got 11 eggs yesterday and 15 the day before. 337 for the month of Nov. thats THREE more then the month of OCT>

. guess my girls don't know their suppose to slow down in the dark winter.

. I'm NOT using any lights in the coop this year

Ya still love me right CR ????????

I heart Christmas lights!

I just got done putting lights on our fruit trees.. .they look so pretty even during a dark day.

OK, washed Mr Tom again..hopefully he fluffs out by tomorrow AM............we shove off at 6 AM or so~~~~~~

Getting the Bucks & javas done now, they are pretty clean.
The WR pullet is behaving nicely in the kitchen...

Oysters marinated & ON THE SMOKER NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!

4 # of prawns steaming in the pot...
Salad w/lettuce, apples/pears/walnuts & grapes and Cranberry Walnut & Blueberry Walnut dressing and Seafood sauce all done & reday to go!!!!!!!!!!
I do have my table we used last year...sourdough rolls & paper plates & 4 serving spoons..............no plastic ware for utensils though...
OK gotta go, and do the Bucks & Javas...........will be back later.
I have to catch a shower late tonight otherwise I will smell like alderwood smoke

Not a bad smell as smells go.but y'all might stand far away from me!!!!!!!!

Well the last thing he said to me was, your taken stuff up there to sell because we have a huge feed bill! Don't bring back anything that eats!! LOL so I thought, well, CR's metal craft doesn't eat!!!

But yea, really I can't say anything cause I'm a spoiled brat, I usually get what ever I want, or at least I did before we got married, now I guess I better behave myself, I don't have the job right now to support any more critters!...... but some day I will! lol oh then he said " don't know why I bother saying anything you do what you want anyway" !!

Now thats what I call bragging! Especially since I wasn't REALLY bragging. I was only REPORTING in reference to Ogress post.

How old are your girls? Thats great they are laying that well without lights.

about four of my girls are 16-19 months a few are around 12 months but most (10) are 8 months old. I picked good winter layers, like Sussexs, sexlinks, welsummers , austra whites.

Open door between the yard and the run since the chickens are out free-ranging. I was worried about raccoons getting in there at night, I had not thought about the day time! That one squirrel was just hanging out by the feeder, looking at me like he was one of the hens, and all the chickens but the one EE seemed to agree! Now I know why I'm going through so much food! ... and I thought they needed more due to the stress of molting!
