My birds are bathed and ready to go and I decided to pack up a couple of Polish pullets to sell if I find a pet home. Now to figure out what to bring for the potluck.

So, Happy Belated Birthday to 4312! (Who is probably busy getting to this side of the mountains right about now.)

thank you Sadie.
Just got back to my brother's house after dinner. Iam in Yakima and plotting my trip to Chehalis. I am thinking 2.5 hours.
All is looking good. I am excited.

There is a really good web site (sorry I do not have it here on my lap top) that shows the different development of the embroys. It will give you an idea of "time of death" . If they are all around the same developmental age....then I would say you may have had some sort of problem. Ask the pros on here, they should be able to help you out better than me. Every single hatch I do.....I learn more. It is so hard to loose any....especially when you know they were alive at one time. Iam so sorry. Try not to beat yourself up over it....try and learn from it and then you know you will improve as you go.

Maybe someone else on here has that web site...if not I can sendit to you next week when I get home.

We should have more than enough. Teresa has brought her crock pot too. And since I am bringing one, we should have a chance of having hot soup. I may have to beg Broody to lend me her kitchen if the crocks don't get the soup hot fast enough.

OH Bugged did you still have those 2 hens?

Which 2 hens? I have a bunch of lazy hens right now. I also am going to bring the 2 Roos with me tomorrow. I'll pot a picture as soon as I get them uploaded.

So: turns out you can order from Home Depot online; delivery date is not making me happy, but at least we saved close to two hundred dollars on the exact same range- online sale + free delivery, removal of dead stove and installation, all of which Sears charges for. So I'm setting the camp stove up in the kitchen for now- that room leaks air from every seam, and I'll use the exhaust fan.

Can't really help, although I do live on the same side of the mtns as you. I do not have any of these breeds. I bet there is someone who does though.

The 2 3 year old Andalusian mix hens... they look kinda of grey (lav) with a couple spots... not laying atm but they are not real happy with my flock taking THEIR coop... poor things made the trip from old house to my house IN the coop on a trailer.. need a pet home not a breeder or eater

They lay large white almost cream eggs, white earlobes, healthy and are with my flock cept they are not happy about it. *got a couple eggs before they stopped due to the ride here and not being happy with the flock.

I'd give them to anyone wanting to start a flock or have the space for older pet hens
