I would tend to agree with the vote except for:
Both have Am combs, and OEs usually have a higher point in front on their combs and do either have any feathers on their shanks?
I cannot see any in the pic but sometimes it is the smallest few short feathers on the shanks that give the OE away.
If none, you have 2 Black Cockeral Ams.

No feathers on shanks and one from a brown egg one from a blue egg.... I need a toe punch!
I thought when they hatched "well one will have bigger comb so no need to tag"

well they showed me how wrong I was.... bugger the boys..

I use hatching boxes...so I put some eggs in one box & others in another box.
Hence is what happened when Boldogkennel brought me 3 kinds of game & 3 kinds of upland game to hatch for her
th.gif

Eggs all look the same, and how to tell the blue game from the red/brown game or the pumpkin game, etc...and the 3 kinds of quail????????
he.gif

I got stationary type small plastic baskets from Walmart...and put each colored egg in each basket, in the hatching bator.
When hatching was over, each basket got a diferent colored leg ring, small plastic leg rings as shown here:

When my birds get any sort of congested deal, I go straight for the Denagard (in water) they drink it fine!
And if they were really sick with airsacculitis (as in MG) I gave them a shot IM in the breast with Tylan.
Knocks it right out of them;)
But, I have since decided (as alot of other breeders have) that if a bird gets it bad enough (MG) to need a shot (dying, turning blue from cyanosis) I need to cull the bird & not use it for breeding. (DO NOT TRY TO SAVE)
I have found (as alot of others have) that most birds do not 'get' it.
And some seem to never be able to get rid of it, within a month they have it again..and those birds MUST be culled.
The Dark Cornish (Indian Games) are a bit ornery, and flighty, and some are downright freak out.
I attribute that to the game line, I could be wrong, as alot of games I have seen are placid & very tame.
So who knows?
They are meaty though!
I processed as for a shake n bake...cut up fryer, so we shall see.
Lots of dark meat on the bird, much more than a regular layer.

I dont know what she has, she started with the sneezes and then it got really cold and started getting congested, none of the feed stores have any tylan now, not even the powder form. the only thing they have is the duramycin powder. so I got some baytril from the horse vet, she is doing much better. she was always active and eating and no problems, I just didnt like the congestion setting in. she is quite peeved however at being isolated and how dare I drop those things down her gullet...lol SQWAAAAAACK!

Baytril is an excellent broad spectrum antibiotic, and she should do well, however, if she has MG, it will not save her, keep her isolated.
Mutual drinking water is how it can spread lightening fast, that is why we do the bleach solution in all our coops' water.

I heard that on NPR when I was driving home today; it angered me to tears. These people made the ultimate scrifice and then were incinerated with medical waste and dumped in landfills with the trash. I was not clear on something - when they were interviewing the military spokesman, he said it was "unidentified parts" which had me thinking damaged limbs and stuff removed in the ER, but then they interviewed a woman whose husband was in a landfill. I was so upset, ashamed and hurting for the soldiers and their relatives and very angry with the military for the cover-up and for not having their story straight. Even if it was just OR "parts", I would hope that even a mangled limb would not just be discarded.

We got a locking mailbox, and hubby cemented it into the ground after someone stole the previous mailbox. They were however, nice enough to leave the mail on our doorstep.

Odd!

We have a mega-huge locking box as mail theft is a problem here - the boxes for my area all sit at the end of the street and it is so easy to hop onto I-90 and be gone in minutes.

Our mail carrier loves dogs, so if she thinks people are home, she will drive to our houses instead with a big box of dog biscuits and hand deliver the mail and a couple of dog biscuits!

Jen think I should do a water antibiotic?
I have several.....let me go see what I have & list them & see which would be good.

I have found that Blue Kote works very well. I have a cream colored EE that is still very purple from when the nasty little dogs pulled out all the feathers on her back. That was why I finally got new homes for the nasty little puppies. It is rather quite around here with just 2 nasty little dogs. But at least we will have puppies in mid January. With Blue Kote because it turns the bird purple, the other birds don't continue to peck at the injured bird.
