Two for two....and since they were / are my best pair of blue salmon bantam Faverolles, that's enough of a loss for me to stop giving it...

These two phenomenal specimens are sterile as a bucket of bleach....

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I have never used it but have read of several hobbyists that have taken birds to Veterinarians & gotten Baytril inj......sheesh!

These 2 birds have no relation at all, so I doubt it's heredity...I'm curious if it's a dosage thing...how many mg/kg do you use?

I generally give 22mg once daily to a 1 kg bantam for 5 days. Again, I think it is highly unlikely that the Baytril has anything at all to do with their loss of fertility. There are simply far too many of us with years of experience and hundreds of birds to say it isn't true. The corollary would be for you to say: "I know cigarettes don't hurt you because my grandma and grandpa both smoked 3 packs a day and died when they were in their 90's." Your sample size of 2 is too small to be valid.

Cloverleaf:::
Since Baytril can cause sterility, what about various other antibiotics in it's same family?

DH is packing & has the camera in his duffle or I would go out & get pics of the Bantam Barnies out in the sun shine.
They are awesome little beautiful birds.
One of the few breeds that has such a beautiful hen as well as cockeral.
Their lacing is so gorgeous.
Nice easy going birds.
The cockerals are no slackers, though::
True to the name "Banty Rooster" they take no gruff from anything and seem very protective & stake their territory right out.
I am loving them more every day.
So DH will leave in the morning & be gone until the 14 or 15th......so I am laying back & will have time to sew, paint & read and of course visit BYC more often!!
