ME! Wait, how big of a flock are we talking?
big_smile.png

There is one blue roo, 3 black hens, and 3 black/lav split pullets. BUT the breeder that I got the black/lav split eggs from this spring has first dibs on the splits. She lost all her Smith girls in a heat wave this summer, and had already asked about at least one of the split girls. I'm already waiting to hear back from her...

The blue roo is "Poseidon" you may have seen his pic on here several months ago, he is Cree lines. One black hen is from pips&peeps, 2 black hens are directly from Wayne Meredith. The splits are from crystalcreek, they are from Paul Smith hens with a Harry Schaffer lavender roo.

I can post pics again if you want....

Oh that Poseidon is one good looking boy! I hope the flock goes to some of our local BYC'ers. I have two of Pips&Peeps Ameraucanas and the black hen is one of my best layers. Very consistent, deeply colored, large eggs.

Tamara - that would be PERFECT timing. Even if you didn't take the others, I really want to find Poseidon a great home where he will be USED. He is awesome.

I won't have a problem finding homes for the girls...that's the easy part.

Barred rock hen to a blue silkie
It looks like daddy black skin and all but minus the extra toes

P.S. How do you do quotes with in quotes?

Not sure what you're asking. I just hit the "quote" button, then type below it but that appears to be what you've done as well?
Very cute chick. I wouldn't have guessed Barred Rock, but I'm not trained in much of anything except, "Ooooh, that's pretty", when it comes to chickens.

Guess I'd better get off the forum. We're invited to my Dad's annual Law Firm Christmas Party across the Narrows Bridge at the Inn at Gig Harbor. It's always a lot of fun, but involves putting something dressy on, figuring out hair and make up and dealing with panty hose and high heeled shoes...

I'm so not in the mood for dress up tonight. Free dinner and drinks is a plus though, right?

You need to use the open square bracket ([) then word "quote" then closed square bracket (] ) before the text you want "INSIDE the quote, then when you want to end the quoted part, you use open square bracket ([) then forward slash (/) then word "quote" then closed square bracket.

It will look like this ( I added spaces so you can see it properly) [ quote ] (for open quote) and [ /quote ] to close quote

Sot it would look something like this:

[ quote ] I am a total idiot when it comes to chickens [ /quote]
I am a total idiot when it comes to chickens

You can preview what it looks like when you try it.

CL, would you like me to save a bag of the best colors the next time my herding trainer shears? She has hair, wool and mixed sheep. It would be free!

I'd love to get any wool as well

prefer black colored sheep so I don't have to dye wool but any would do.

Friends who've seen it in the past liked it. Lots of gorgeous Baroque breeds, plenty of cool acts featuring horses and humans.
