Also, to be absolutely sure that Fudge is the daddy and not the bantam roo, you want to wait 3 weeks from the time you switched them out. Oh, and if the Silkie is broody, I'd give them to her...then you're not stuck brooding chicks yourself, she'll do ALL the work for ya!! Last edited: Dec 16, 2011
