Hi, Washingtonians! I started following this thread a little while ago when I thought I'd be moving to WA. Jury's still out on whether that's going to happen, but hope you'll let me join in.
To answer your silkie question, my experience is that the yellow fluffy balls turn into white silkies. The white-ish fluffy balls turn into splash silkies. And of course the black are black and gray-ish become blue. I've never seen a porcelain or lavender, so don't know what they look like as chicks. But expect that the yellows will go white - at least, that's what ours did.

Okay I am off to lala land. DH will no doubt want to get up and going long before I am able to even think about opening my peepers. It's not good when my eyes refuse to open in the morning. I think that is why I put off going to bed at a reasonable hour. It doesn't matter when I go to bed, because my peeper will still not want to open when I think they should.

I think I lost myself, with that explanation.

I bet it is just because I can have the whole thread to myself, and answer my own questions if I want too.

I don't think that makes much sense either.

Okay it's just because I am a night owl.

Wow, where is everyone this morning?
Drizzly here so no fishing today, but I made up about 40 sticky oily sweet egg sacs, both sweet & anise flavoured.......now my fingers is dyed red !!

Not much else to do today but clean chick pens I guess, maybe go shopping??

It is better to stay in a warm dry car than to try & work out in this drizzly wet cold~~~~~~~~
can't complain though, so far we have had a very nice December !

. Silkie chicks are the cutest - sadly, I seem to only get roos. Don't know how that happens but both (black) in the last batch were roos, and both current silkie youngsters (one splash and one black) just started crowing...
